Core and Limbo's only offspring, neither of them even knew about him till years later when Core was already engaged to Jason. Jason primarily raised Chase, which is where he gets his good nature from, but his other biological parent is Limbo, who wants nothing to do with Chase. Chase refers to Jason, Core and Limbo as his 'dads' even though only two of them have truly accepted him as their 'son'.
