Sally Lorenzen

Sally Lorenzen, otherwise simply known as Sally, is Loey's pet dog. She is a toy poodle. Her breed results in her intelligence, and Loey's capacity gives her human sentience. Although she has an affinity for her owner, she is non-partisan for the most part, resulting in passive behaviour.

Appearance

Sally has a tan-coloured coarse coat, and stands at 12 inches tall. She has six legs, with the latter two pairs made up of hind legs. She has a ribbon tied onto the fur on top of her head. It is unusual for her to be leashed. She can change her size at will, though this largely depends whether Loey's conscience allows her to do so. In Odd Phenomenon, her ribbons are bunched up in fours instead of two.

Odd Phenomenon

Odd Phenomenon is loosely based on the Freudian idea of the human psyche (see Odd Phenomenon). Each parts of the psyche are splintered into metaphysical manifestations, in which they both exist and do not. Sally does not play a psyche, but is a measure of innocence, stability, prudence and comfort. She is the antithesis to Tar, but both only exist as an affecting presence—an external stimuli—instead of a direct obstruction, like the Id. Sally becomes a unit of quantification to Loey's wits; she may be present as means of safety, or become an idol to which Loey grants sacrifices to in exchange for protection. In essence, her efficiency as a guard dog depends on Loey's needs, and how much he is willing to give up for it. While Loey's psyches have a metaphysical presence, Sally has a quantum existence.

Loey and the Odd Phenomenon

Loey and the Odd Phenomenon tells the narrative of Loey's fantastically uneventful life, loosely based on its overarching concept, Odd Phenomenon. Sally is Loey's pet dog, wanted in all 195 countries for war crimes and other miscellaneous felony. She is defined by her impolite, pushy and generally unpleasant mannerisms. As Loey is mute, Sally often speaks for him, possessing aptitude to respond to him despite her owner having made no means of communication (although this generally comes off as making assumptions in how Loey feels). She seems to have advanced knowledge of politics, mathematics, science, as well as the general human anatomy, both physiologically and emotionally. Due to her sentience, the human population assumes her to be an ordinary citizen.23690078_7hAhcaVq6XKWc5o.png
