- Gray's magical abilities seem to be an innate part of their being and is heavily tied to their emotions, specifically Love. The stronger the emotion the more powerful their magic, and the longer they are capable of channeling it at any given time. Their magic is not without limits, they are at high risk for burnout which can last from anywhere between 5 minutes to 5 days. This affects their magic as well as their own mental health, often making them feel very drained emotionally until they have time to recover.

- Gray is tall, slender and athletic with visible muscle definition on their arms and two pointed, expressive ears. They have two horns that sprout up then curve backwards, starting a couple inches above the eyebrow. The color starts out dark blue and fades into a reddish purple. They have a medium length tail that is blue like their skin, but on the underside of the tail to the tip is aqua-colored fur similiar in color to their hair. Their legs are long and ending in digitigrade feet with three toes each, equipped with powerful, sharp black claws. Their teeth are large and sharp and their jaw is cable of unhinging to allow their mouth to open wider like a snake.

Gray is a very laid back individual, tacking surprises in stride and seeing obstacles as interesting and fun challenges to overcome. They are competitive by nature and unable to turn down a challenge, finding immense joy in finding creative or interesting ways to win. Due to this, they are the 'brains' of the group, their creative and decisive nature paired with their stubborn refusal to accept defeat tend to put those who come to rely on them at ease. Mischiveous by nature, they enjoy teasing, confusing, or stirring up general chaos - playfully, just for fun. They have their own moral code they follow and have limits to what they consider 'fun, playful' chaos and going 'too far', what those limits are, however, only Gray really knows.
They are not one to easily given into despair and seem to be willing to accept the consequences and view the situation as a learning experience. While defeat leaves a bad taste in their mouth, they use each failure to grow and adapt for future scenarios - ...except they can be a sore loser when it comes to board games. On the rare occasions that they do let despair in they can find themselves stuck in a spiral and will rarely ask for help; however, they are quick to accept help if it is offered. They tend to self isolate and try to withdraw from the world - but bringing them back around is usually fairly easy.
Gray keeps themselves rather guarded, eager to make new friends but terrified of being rejected by them for things beyond their control. Due to this, they can be a little quieter and will let other people do the talking for them as they hang back and watch. Still, it does not take much to break through that guard. Kidness, acceptance, and affection can win Gray over very easily - despite their best efforts to be careful. They are incredibly empathetic and quick to notice and become attached to people that they sense a similar loneliness in.
They have very little regard for their own safety, thriving in the dangerous situations they recklessly throw themselves into. Their own life means very little to them in comparison to the lives of the people they love. As far as they are concerned there is absolutely no price too high to pay to make sure their loved ones are as safe and happy as possible, even if it means sacrificing their own happiness or goals.

Auro is the closest thing to a father that Gray has ever known and deeply respects the man despite all the chaos and mischief that they tend to get into on a regular basis. The two met in Neverland, Gray - who at the time was known as Hush - was hiding out from his friends Peter Pan and the Lost Boys when they stumbled upon Auro. While skittish around strangers the guise of a human that she wore gave them enough courage to approach the older man out of curiosity. Gray wanted to know what they were doing there. He was dressed different. He didn't *look* like a pirate. It took some time, Gray following Auro around the island like a duckling unaware that the man could see through to who - and what - Gray really was. They talked, Auro explaining his business in Neverland and Gray found themself strangely eager to help him. He was kind and they found that they wanted nothing more than to earn another smile from him. Eventually it became time to Auro to leave and Gray found themself sad at the thought - but then Auro did something unexpected. He offered to take Gray with him, take them home to Skaia - an island with a city floating above a massive sea. Over the few days of following Auro around Neverland Gray had opened up a little to him, explaining how they were hiding from their friends. They had done something...bad. They were sure they hated him now. Gray was surprised at the invitation and then immediately felt guilty. They had been lying to the man and were sure that he wouldn't want anything to do with him if he knew the truth. No one else did. Sadly, Gray showed their true self - explaining that it was better that they did not and found themselves surprised when Auro just smiled sadly at her and kneel down to be eye level. He told Gray that if he did not want to go that was fine, but the invitation was still open to him. Nothing had changed. Gray hadn't met anyone who just...accepted him before. Peter had been curious but had suggested that they hide. The Lost Boys became terrified of her when they showed themself. But Auro? Auro didn't show any curiosity or fear and emotional, Gray agreed and left Neverland with him to never look back.
Vex is Gray's best friend and partner in crime. Growing up on Skaia the two were inseperable - save for when it came time to lessons and Vex poured over book on history and maps while Gray studied magic. The two were best friends making up for each other where they lacked and over time Gray developed a heavy crush for him, one that was never acted on or voiced. They met on accident about a month after Auro returned home with him. Gray enjoyed wandering the temple at night and happened to stumble across the shorter boy, huddle up in the doorway that led out to the garden - staring at the sky. Gray was startled and attempted to hide, having not changed into a human since leaving Neverland, but Vex heard and turned to look back at them and to Gray's surprise did not scream or hide. Instead, Vex squinted and made himself smaller - non-threatening. Greeted Gray and when Gray shyly responded Vex smiled at him. Gray couldn't resist but smile a little back, then quickly attempted to hide their mouth behind their hand - shy about their fangs. 'You don't have to hide them...I think your teeth look cute,' Vex had told her and that was that. Gray knew at that moment that they would do anything to make this sweet, sad looking boy smile. To make him happy.
Gray met Tyle the day that Auro brought him home with tattered clothes and wild, nervous eyes. Seeing such a small creature, so full of fear, crouched behind Auro Gray felt compelled to protect him - and so they did. Their friendship was an easy one. Tyle, who had been known as Jingyi at the time, latched onto the older tiefling quickly and they never looked back. Gray sees him as her little brother and while they do enjoy teasing him, she would do anything to keep him safe and make him happy.
While Gray wishes the two had met under different circumstances, they wouldn't trade their friendship with her for anything in the world. They met through Vex while Gray was attempting to hunt down and kill Ophelia. At first Gray thought very little of her besides mild relief and a sense of being indebted to her for her part with helping Vex, but that quickly changed the longer the two traveled together. She was bright and friendly with just the right amount of crazy mixed in that made Gray feel comfortable, at home. As their journey progressed Gray's innate powers began to grow and a strong bond formed between them. When things started to become too much for either of them to bare on their own they found solace in each other. Gray would retreat to Su's room to hide and let themself fall apart and felt safe knowing that no words needed to be spoken. She would just hold them, rub their back, be there for them in that moment. In return, Gray provided her that same safe space to be vulnerable and break down when she needed it. This became a habit that would be a part of their relationship for the rest of their lives.
When the two met Gray had been separated from their friends for a second time. They had been sat on a grassy hill top trying to plan their next course of action and decide how long they could or should wait before moving when a sheep with glorious horns pranced right on up to him without fear or a single care in the world. The sheep, who he would later learn was called Nikolaus or Niko, bumped his head into Gray's and preened under the shy affections Gray bestowed upon him - petting his head and admiring the beautiful wool coat. Before long, Gwyn showed up - a shepherd boy looking for his companion, Niko, who had just scampered off suddenly. Gray was immediately taken by him. It was hard not to be. He was tall, handsome, and had such kind eyes. After explaining the situation Gwyn agreed to help Gray reunite with his friends and during their short time together Gray found themself growing fond of the half-giant. While happy when they eventually did find their friends they couldn't help but also feel sad knowing that this meant they would be leaving and Gray would probably not see Gwyn again. Instead, noticing Gray's mood, Vex invited Gwyn to come with them for adventure. 'It would be dangerous, they were after a dangerous person, but hey! You'd get to see so many cool places in the process, and I'm sure Gray would keep you safe!!' Gwyn agreed and it did not take too long for the pair to begin growing closer. Gwyn made Gray feel safe and grounded and before long they found themself falling head over heels for the other.

The growing trend in Gray's life seemed to be meeting people at very...unfortunate times, and Link is no exception. The two parties encountered each other shortly after Vex had managed to convince Gray to join him and Subaru. The friend's relationship had been...struggling. Gray had pulled away after the nth time loop and Vex, only getting part of the story, saw his best friend suddenly change into someone completely different and distance themself after just one day. Link had noticed something off about Gray - or more like something off about the way time reacted around them. The most obvious thing he noticed was his watches acting up, and then there was just the odd way that time seemed to be affecting them - or not be affecting them, as it were. Link approached first and after some convincing managed to spark Gray's interest when he explained that he knew time magic - more than what the average person typically knew, as Gray would soon discover. It was through Link's abilities to look back into a person's timeline that they were able to puzzle out the truth of what happened in the Cave of Whispers - what started the time loop. At the time the knowledge sent Gray into a spiral, not knowing what to do with the information, but that encounter would come to be the turning point in Gray's life. They were grateful to Link for what he gave him - hope, inspiration, renewed determination. They met up a few more times in their travels and eventually exchanged phone numbers and before long Gray started to develop feelings for her new friend. They pined for him but knew they couldn't work - Link was clearly smitten with his two companions: Mallaidh and Hawkes. Ignoring these feelings Gray settled into a friendship with Link, a friendship that only grew stronger as they both carried on their own separate journeys that only sometimes overlapped.
