Charles lived on a farm with his mother, sister, brother, and father. One night while his father was away some bandits came and burned the place down, killing Charles' mother and brother. He was able to save his baby sister but got horribly burned. Trying to heal his wounds with nothing and care for his sister, who got sick from inhaling the smoke he decided to wait for his father. When his father didn't seem to show and his sister ended up dying Charles decided to go search for his father, or even a town nearby. He was 16 at the time and no one really questioned him. He didn't tell many people about the farm burning down, scared they'd seen him as a walking target. He eventually met a girl, April, in a town. He and April fell in love and seemed inseparable. When April began cheating on him, her boyfriend tried to kill Charles to cover there secret, only Charles shot him first. The town took Aprils side and Charles was to hang the following morning. Just before they dropped the rope a well known bounty hunter dropped by, stating he was too young and should instead work to make up for what he did. Charles was taken in by Victor. Victor soon became like a father figure to Charles, teaching him the best ways to earn money and save people in the process. Charles looked up to Victor, and trusted him with his heart. Victor has a son himself, named Jesse, and Charles and him were like brothers. When Charles found out Victor was actually part of the bandits who burned his farm and have been stealing from all the people they were suppose to be helping he freaked. He was 20 at the time, and killed Victor. Thinking no one had seen him Charles fled, promising to right all the wrong he had helped make. Near the end of his life he stumbles across the ruins of his farm, giving him families bones the proper burial they needed. Before he left Jesse cornered him, stating how he watched Charles kill his father. With a gun to Charles life he quickly drew his pistol to fire.
