Seems' personality matches her fashion sense to a T: she's extroverted, bubbly, loud, quirky, colorful, and just a big ol' ray of egregiously neon sunshine. She's friendly, active, and talkative; whenever she's around, there's never a quiet moment!

A lot of this is for the sake of the stability of those around her and to distance herself from her own problems. She doesn't want anyone to worry about her when they already have problems of their own that she wants to help with! If she ever shows vulnerability or sadness, who would trust her when they needed someone to vent to? She just wants to be there for people. She's okay enough!

Seems has something of a sarcastic streak, can be a little careless morally, and swears far more than most expect, but she's got a good heart through and through and wants to share it with everyone. She's an absolutely incredible friend to have, and an easy one to make! But even though she'll probably let you, don't take advantage of that. Please be kind to her!!!

|| - Backstory - ||

Seems was born into a relatively poor family to two parents who saw her as a way out. High expectations were placed on her from early on; they worked tirelessly to educate her and train her for every situation even though she wasn't even in kindergarten yet. Once she started school she predictably did very well, but her parents didn't let up at all.

As she grew older, Seems' bipolar disorder became apparent and developed further, making it difficult for her to focus on her studies. Her grades started to falter, which angered her parents and in turn only caused her mental state to grow worse and worse. She managed to keep her grades high enough to get accepted into a prestigious all-girl high school, where even though she finally had some alone time she felt unable to let up on anything and relax.

Her dormmate was a girl named Maria Gradin, who seemed very cold and distant. Their first few weeks were spent in relative silence, but eventually Seems decided she really wanted to do something for herself for once and make a friend. She tried to gently get her roommate to open up, which sort of worked but didn't really kick in until a while later when Maria accidentally confessed that he was a trans man while in the middle of a panic attack. Seems' foreign response of understanding and continued approval led to them becoming close friends.

By the time they were ready to graduate, the two were dating. They had already changed their names, at least among themselves; Seems discarded the name "Marilyn" and came up with the name "Tigel Smith" to sort of match her new name, in a sense. As soon as they graduated, they attended a university as far away from each of their families as possible even though neither of them had much in the way of money.

Seems quickly found she had a fondness for the arts, in particular photography. She decided to get into camerawork and reporting to fit with Tigel's desired detective career, since she had trouble deciding what she liked doing the most. When she was younger, she never really had the chance to experiment with things like she did in college.

Though her college career was more successful than Tigel's, she worked just as many jobs and got paid just as little. The two lived in poverty throughout most of their young adulthood, struggling to make enough just to make ends meet, much less move on and make life better for themselves.

Things changed when an on-and-off investigation of theirs led them to a suspicious hospital, which is about all Seems remembers. When she woke up, they were suddenly acquainted with Demon Lord Zhirael and his assistants. Tigel claimed that they were attacked by something in the hospital but managed to get out with survivable injuries thanks to Zhirael's unexpected medical proficiency. Out of gratitude - and the fact that their interests sort of crossed - the two decided to accept Zhirael's offer of employment.

She has a strong feeling there's something she's not being told about all this, but she's not pushing it. He'll tell her when he's ready, right?

Seems is an ordinary human being for all that entails. She's fairly intelligent and nimble with a surprising amount of strength, but there's nothing very unnatural going on here.

Not that she knows of, anyway.
