INFORMATION

“There, there,” the digimon replied soflty and knelt down next to Alba. “I didn’t expect to evolve into this kind of form either.”
A7GCSkQ.png

A precocious angel Digimon, Snow has the appearance of a child but comes across as much older, thus acting as an emotional support to his partner, Alba. Much of the mischievousness of his time as a Tokomon gone, Snow has become much reliable in order to support his partner. However, his decisions are often ruled by emotion, and he still has a whimsical and fickle side to him that was already apparent as a Tokomon. He’s also proud and not fast to waver from the decisions he makes, resulting in butting heads with the other partner Digimon who aren’t necessarily happy with his plans of action.

Snow is charismatic, confident and proud, striking strong contrast to Alba, who in turn is quiet and uncertain of themself. However, it’s precisely their contrasting natures that make them such good partners: they both have things to learn from one another, and their mutual respect makes it easy for them to talk about their disagreements. But as wise and kind as Snow can be, an undeniable fact is that he would be willing to even let the other children and their Digimon die if it meant to keep Alba safe, and there is a certain kind of  wickedness to him born out of good but ultimately misguided intentions.

Appearance

Unlike the canonical appearances of Lucemon in the Digimon anime, Snow has the appearance of an older child, reflecting the age of their partner Alba. But much like the archetypical Lucemon, Snow also has the same basic elements to his appearance: blond hair, light skin, the four holy rings on his wrists and ankles, blue eyes and six pairs of wings (four pairs on his back, one pair sprouting out of his head and one pair wrapped around his waist). He also wears the same type and shape of a toga other Lucemon are seen wearing, and the purple tattoos on the left side of his body closely resemble those portrayed in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth. His right palm has a Zero Unit tattooed on it, and his left palm has a Digital Hazard tattoo.

Snow has an androgynous facial structure, with a round-ish face, small nose and light, thin lips. His eyes are bright blue in color with distinctively small pupils, and his eyes are slightly narrowed by default. He has long eyelashes notably on the corners of his eyes, and he has thin and light but very expressive eyebrows despite their size. His hair is thick and wavy, with sides much longer than the archetype Lucemon has, and the strands of hair where his head wings start resemble devil horns in shape.

Initially he’s seen wearing a red ribbon around his right head wing, but he eventually gives it back to Alba. He’s also seen wearing a Bakemon robe to disguise himself during a single mission.

Personality

Despite his appearance of a preteen, Snowball often acts as if was much older: he’s responsible, wise and his intelligence far exceeds those of average rookie Digimon, and he knows how to carry himself with confidence. He’s extremely gentle towards his partner Alba, and acts almost like a big brother to them: understanding and kind, but also gently pushing Alba out of their comfort zone as an attempt to make them more confident in themself. It’s easy to see Alba is his everything, and the child brings out all their best qualities - he’s like a young king in making.

However, it’s his extreme love for Alba that also poses as one of his main problems: he’s fiercely protective of his partner, to the point he would have no problems killing or leaving others to die - even the other digidestined and their Digimon. Especially at first his only driving force is to help Alba and keep them safe and happy, and Snow would have little to no real regard towards the other digidestined or their digimon: he would acknowledge them as people important to Alba and their mission, but hold little no no emotional connection to them, instead focusing only on his partner.

Furthermore, because Lucemon is highly intelligent, he often ends up being a tad forceful with his views and his prideful nature makes it extremely difficult for him to admit if he is wrong, didn’t understand something or needs help from someone that isn’t Alba. The short temper apparent when he was still a Tokomon is now gone, but has been replaced by cunningness: he’s very adept in knowing which strings to pull to get what he wants, for better or worse, and has no trouble lying or tactically leaving out details when wanting to persuade someone. He also doesn’t forgive easily if he feels like he has somehow been offended, but on the upside it’s actually difficult to insult him because he’s so confident in himself.

Snow is very careful with his plans and generally prefers to think things through before acting, a trait shared with his partner. Despite this, his decisions are still often ruled by emotion and what he himself thinks is right and wrong, which doesn’t necessarily always align with the moral compass of others. He’s studious and somewhat bookish, and he has a strong sense of duty and responsibility: he won’t go back on his words, and would never break a promise unless it was directly jeopardizing Alba’s life. He’s also dedicated to the duty the children have as the protectors of the Digital World, and is more than happy to go the extra mile to acquire information - especially later on when he learns to love those other than Alba as well. Snow is also highly sociable and very charismatic, but always prioritizes being with his partner over mingling with others: if Alba isn’t feeling like socializing Lucemon won’t do it either, unless there is something important to be gained, such as crucial information or much needed resources, such as food.

Out of all the partner Digimon Lucemon is perhaps the most conflicting in nature, and especially at first it can be difficult to tell if he’s a good Digimon or not: on one hand he shows his gentle and considerate side with Alba and hardly ever picks fights with others or insults them, but his selfishness, pride and somewhat domineering traits are not something that can go unnoticed either. There is an undeniably wicked side to him caused by a misguided love, but his intentions are hardly ever evil or actively malicious, and he’s an easy Digimon to get along with - as long as you’re on his good side.

As the story goes on he becomes more generous and friendly towards the rest of the group as well, and he eventually comes to understand he can’t always be there guiding Alba, and that they will improve and gain confidence on their own as well - if anything, coddling the child too much only stunts their personal growth.

History

*This section is unfinished due to the fact the story is still being worked on.

A Digimon who had since his birth known he was waiting for someone, Tokomon used to spend his days either reading in the library or picking fights with Digimon who as much as looked at him funny. He was short-tempered and awfully proud for someone who could hardly fight in his weak form, and would often end up being forced to run away after getting into a fight with a stronger Digimon.

When Alba arrived to the village all alone and was attacked by evil Digimon, Tokomon rushed to their rescue and the two successfully escaped. Alba named him Snowball due to his white and round appearance, and although Tokomon was a little taken aback by such a strange name, he accepted it because it was Alba who named him - he instinctively knew this was the person he had been waiting for all this time. The two were then guided by a mysterious voice to the other chosen children and their Digimon.

As others digivolved to their rookie forms and even champion forms, Tokomon remained the same. Not wanting to be a burden to the others, Snowball slowly started to mature, until he finally digivolved into Lucemon when a group of Bakemon ambushed the children and almost killed Alba.

Skills & Abilites

  • Statistically, Lucemon are characterized by their high INT (intelligence), and in this regard Snowball isn’t much different: he’s considered both academically intelligent and wise, his evolution to Lucemon letting him tap into the data of the world around him to instinctually comprehend it better. He’s not all-powerful, however, nor can he access just any information as he pleases, and instead he simply absorbed some chunks of information data as he digivolved for the first time. Snowball does learn fast though, and he can easily store and process a lot of information fast and with relative ease.

  • ATK wise his physical attacks are not particularly strong, and although he can fight by hitting and punching his opponent, it usually doesn’t yield any noteworthy results when against a Champion or higher level Digimon. However, his magical attacks are considered extremely strong to the point they rival those of various Champions and even Ultimates.

  • Due the fact Lucemon’s skillset is extremely powerful, they also exhaust him easily. As such, he is mostly seen using Shining Laser or Holy light as opposed to his own special attacks: they make him extremely fatigued or at worst force him to turn back into a Tokomon. He also requires a lot more food than one would expect based on his appearance, and it has everything to do with the heavy consumption of energy his magical attacks inconvenience him with.

  • Grand Cross: Fires ten fireballs forming a cross. (Special)

  • Divine Feat: Creates a great sword or spear of light and with it pierces the enemy. (Special)

  • Shining Laser II: Magic attack, 65 Light damage to all foes. 95% accuracy.

  • Holy Light III: Magic attack, 95 Light damage to one foe. 95% accuracy.
Trivia

  • Snowball has nothing to do with the Demon Lord Lucemon: they just happen to be of the same Digimon species. However, due to the strong association this species has with the feared villain of the ancient times, Snowball is oftentimes treated with fear and respect alike by other Digimon, sometimes greatly invoncenicing the mission the group is on. At one point he even has to disguise himself so the villagers would be willing to do business with the digidestined.

  • Snow is much more dignified as a Lucemon than he was as a Tokomon, resulting from his boosted INT stats and his internal desire to become something of an older sibling to Alba to help them grow. This is also why his digivolution ended up being a Lucemon: it’s the most human-looking evolution for Tokomon.

  • Only Alba calls him Snowball. Other digidestined refer to him as Snow and their Digimon simply call him Lucemon - he doesn’t mind either of the two names. Eventually Alba also starts using Snow as opposed to Snowball as they realize it’s bit of an embarrassing name for a Digimon so proud and strong.

  • He likes to wrap his wings around Alba whenever they’re sleeping, to keep the child warm and make sure they’re safe. Snow is very protective of Alba and would do anything to protect them - even betray the other chosen children and their Digimon if it came down to it. He does end up becoming less intense as time goes on and learns to extend his love and affection for those other than Alba as well.

  • His to-go evolution is the armor evolution Nephilimon, as it seems to take the least amount of energy out of him by the virtue of being a physical damage oriented form.

  • His holy rings all spell out “digital monster” in DigiCode

  • His name is a remain from a joke I made about getting a Lucemon Satan Mode and naming it Snowball
