Violet's a little on the shorter side for her age, standing just barely at 5'3 and yes, she's always right in front on picture day, thank you very much. Her skin is pale, yet, no matter what she does, it always seems to tan much too fast for her liking, not even giving the poor girl a chance to try to fix the lines before new ones have already started to form. Though, she'd suppose that she'd have to prefer that to the alternative, which would typically be a pretty awful sunburn that eventually fades into her not-so-beloved farmer's tan. Her skin is also littered with a pretty generous handful of freckles, most noticeably dotting along her nose, cheeks, and arms, and they especiallly pop up when she's had some sun on them. Her natural hair is a somewhat dull shade of brown, but she definitely prefers to keep it dyed a bright and colourful purple instead. It typically ends right around her mid-back or just above, though she's occasionally considered the idea of chopping it right around her shoulders to keep it out of the way of her wings, but her lack of flight means it's not really a huge problem for her and she's mostly resigned to just deal with it if it does get in the way. She also has a bit of a fringe, typically swept to the right side of her face when it's not falling into her eyes. And speaking of eyes, they're a very light shade of grey, verging on a nearly white or pastel sort of colour.

Violet's a fairly average weight, though with the disadvantage of being so short she's left being just a little on the softer side, mostly around her thighs, stomach, and just a bit to her cheeks, giving her face a slightly more rounded shape. With her softer face only adding to the bit of a baby face that she already has going on, plus her height, she often gets mistaken for being younger than she is. Her overall shape isn't anything too special, something like an hourglass or pear with her hips about equal to, if not slightly wider than, her shoulders. She has some light muscle passed over from her more powerful wolf form, but it's not super noticable if she isn't flexing or anything, and she really isn't especially that strong so maybe don't look at her first if you need help carrying things, as much as she'd love to give you a hand.

Sitting at Violet's shoulder blades are probably her most notable features, which are a pair of large, feathered black wings. While she typically keeps them folded behind her back, her wingspan probably comes off as fairly impressive to someone who might not know any better, though they're actually a little on the smaller and perhaps even slightly underdeveloped side from the eyes of other dark angels or regular angels.

In her everyday life, Violet tends to stick to things that are fairly on the comfortable side, and she can often be seen in one of her many t-shirts, typically plain or adorned with nice, simple designs or logos from bands, shows, and other similar things. She'll usually pair these with pants, often jeans, though she might opt for sweatpants on the rare occasion that she's having an especially comfy, lazy day, but that's usually reserved for the days that she doesn't have to leave the house, or at least when she doesn't have to go too far, or be seen by too many people. On especially hot days it's not too uncommon for her to be seen in a pair of jean, cotton, or running shorts. Most of the time, she'll typically go for a pair of runners or converse, with a preference for hightops. She also has a bit of a preference for nice, soft hoodies, both oversized and fitting, as well as flannels. She tends to prefer to layer them as it gets colder rather than wearing a big, thick coat.

When it comes to more formal events or anything else that requires her to dress up, Violet tends to go for simple dress pants if she can, paired with a preferably black button up; however, if the dress code calls for it she'll settle for another colour, and a blouse or skirt, preferably with tights underneath, if needed.

Accessory-wise, Violet does have a single piercing in each ear, but constantly forgets to actually wear her earrings. Hell, it's a miracle her ears haven't closed up yet. But, when she does remember, she tends to just go for something plain and single rather than anything too dangly or flashy, but she might step it up with fancier earrings and maybe a necklace or bracelet if she needs to look a little fancier, but it's still quite rare.

When she's compared to a regular wolf, Violet's wolf form is actually quite a bit on the smaller end, though it's not the most surprising thing if you compare it to the also fairly short height her more human-like form has. Her fur isn't all that interesting, overall just being a somewhat dull shade of brown just like her human form's natural hair, and it's a pretty average length, somewhat on the medium-long side, but surprisingly it's not actually super thick or bulky, something that she can be very thankful for when the summer heat comes around. Also similar to her human form's hair, Violet can occasionally have traces of purple tinting the tips of her fur, especially along the back of her neck and the tips of her ears and tail. This is likely due to all the dye, as it's typically most visible after a more recent dye job. Her eyes also remain fairly the same, being an incredibly pale, even borderline white, shade of grey. She also has dark grey claws with pink paw pads, and a similarly dark coloured nose.

Generally, Violet tends to come off as a pretty kind person who, more often than not, just tries to see the best in everyone, do the right thing, and just help out as much as she can; however, she does also tend to be a little on the shyer side and can especially be a bit quiet around strangers and people who she doesn't know too well or isn't really warmed up to, not quite the type to try and start most conversations or put herself out there too often. But, she'll usually be able to warm up fairly quickly and come out of her shell much faster if she's with her friends, talking about her interests, or with someone that she just clicks with. Though, she is trying to work on this and do her best to be a little more outgoing, slowly but somewhat surely. When she does get more comfortable with someone, she does actually have a bit of a sarcastic and more humorous side that'll start to show up, and she'll probably be more likely to try and make jokes. Mainly, these jokes tend to occasionally be filled with references to vines and dumb memes, especially with her closer friends, or just sarcastic comments under her breath that happen to catch an unexpected laugh when someone hears her. If someone happens to be rude to her or her friends, there's a somewhat small chance that she'll start to get rude and perhaps a bit defensive right back at them, though she's also learned by now that Grey and Kishan can usually be trusted to stand up for the group before she needs really consider stepping in. At times, she does have a habit of hiding her emotions, especially the more negative ones, or if they're related to something she's embarrassed about, as she does tend to get embarrased quite easily anyways. While she tries to be as helpful as she can, she also finds that she can pretty easily crack under pressure. She knows that stronger emotions can trigger her flame powers, especially when negative, and is prone to starting to panic when she feels them coming up, trying her best to push both the emotions and the flames down, yet the panic only has her palms burning up faster until the flames finally erupt no matter what she tries. She also isn't too big on getting physically aggressive despite the fact that she may be able to stand her ground just fine, as her wings are somewhat fragile and she tends to try and play it safe to protect them. This, especially when paired with her small size, can easily lead to her getting overpowered by someone larger than her. Violet is also somewhat prone to worrying over her relationships. She knows that her friends won't leave her, she's sure of it, yet there's that thought, deep down inside of her, the worry that they just might. After all, her dad left, so who's to say her friends, or even the rest of her family, won't do the same? This isn't something she'd ever share with them, not wanting to give them ideas, or cause them to worry, or push them away with her dumb worries, or anything like that, but they'd be there to reassure her if she did ever mention it.

Growing Up with Powers

Violet grew up with a fairly average start to her life. Well, as average as it can be for a little kid with some fuzzy wings growing in and whiskers sprouting up at times when she'd sneeze. This wasn't an uncommon event in her childhood, occasionally transforming a little without really noticing as she was growing up and getting used to these powers. Often it was just small things like a tail popping up when she got excited, or ears poking through her hair when she was trying really, really hard to listen in class or when she may or may not have been eavesdropping just a little. This also happened with other much less fun things, like having her hands just erupting into flames because another kid had upset her.

This has somewhat continued through the rest of her life so far, and there have been a few times where she's transformed a little in her sleep, but due to the pain she'll usually wake up only to find herself with an unexpected tail, snout, or paw. This especially happens when she's having a more intense dream or something that involves her being in that form. On top of that, nightmares especially can end a little worse and leave her with singed fingers and bedsheets, which definitely isn't quite as fun or harmless as shifting. Either way, she'll often wake up exhausted when this happens and at least a bit sore for the day.

As a lover of The Lion King, she once thought it would be a wonderful idea to try and eat a bug in her feral form. It's safe it say that the experience was kind of just sad and disappointing for a very young Violet, and she found that it was nothing like the movie and would not recomend it.

Her Dad

Before her parents split up, her father, James, did his best to teach her as much about her dark angel side as he could, though she was definitely more interested in the wings than the scary fire magic, and he figured he wouldn't waste time teaching her much of it until she got older. After all, kids can be quite destructive, so giving one full control over their own built in lighter didn't sound like a great idea, and she wasn't really that interested in using it so he figured it wouldn't be a problem anyways. She spent a lot of time with him while he was around, leaving them to be quite close, and she definitely would've been considered a daddy's girl. So, because she seemed very interested in his wings along with her own, he figured it was best to start there. They focused almost entirely on wings, and wing care, and stretching, preening, working them to build up the muscle, everything they could, really. He even went as far as to try to teach her to fly, though she was still far too young while he was around, but her mother put a stop to it before they got too far.

The Divorce

Eventually, when she was about six years old, her parents split up and her father left almost immediately. She still holds a bit of a grudge against him and isn't completely aware of what happened to caus them to split up. Her mom married her now-stepfather, Justin, not too long after.

Violet was never the most confident kid, but she seemed to become even more withdrawn around this time, leaving her as an incredibly shy child who'd prefer to hide behind her wings than to talk to anyone. Even when teachers approached her, she'd tend to cower back and block them off. Her mom was clearly worried for her, and there was a bit of tension within the family as Justin tried to settle in. While he was very happy and lovey-dovey with her mother, he found it offputting that Violet didn't seem that into him at first, struggling to try and gain her approval. Violet's mother tried her best to gently encourage the girl to make friends, not wanting to see her daughter all alone and worried that she was outcast for being different. But, when she did manage to make friends, they didn't last long. Kids were actually quite interested in this winged kid, but when the novelty of her uniqueness faded away, or when she had some wolf features uncontrollably popping up, they'd eventually leave.

Meeting Her Friends

Finally, after more encouraging from her mother, Violet did manage to get pushed into befriending Kishan a few weeks into the fourth grade. Surprisingly enough, she actually clicked really well with him and he ended up being one of her first friends who actually stuck around for a while, helping to bring her out of her shell quite a bit and being one of her closest and longest lasting friendships so far.

Later on, about halfway through the same year, Violet couldn't help but notice Grey, who seemed to sit on his own all the time and didn't really appear to have any friends. So, of course, she huddled up with Kishan and the two came up with a wonderful plan. That plan was simple, and involved the two of them going up to Grey and befriending him as well, whether he liked it or not. Considering they're still friends to this day, it can be assumed that this plan went pretty well.

Finally, the next year, in grade five, she became almost immediate friends with Link, finding him to be another odd-looking kid just like her. The two got on almost instantly, both absolute sweethearts who had a passion for colouring in cute pictures and making things full of glitter. During a lunch break, she very quickly managed to rope him into the group with Kishan and Grey, and he went along with it because hey, if they're a friend of this cool kid, they must be awesome!

By the end of the school year, the four had become as close as ever, each begging their parents to send them all to the same middle school, and the gang has been practically inseparable ever since.

In eigth grade, when they were about thirteen, she dated Kishan for around a week or so, but they quickly realised that they were better off as friends and broke up on good terms. It didn't really change too much about their relationship, aside from a slight awkward hiccup between Kishan and the group, but in the end it turned out fine and actually brought them closer together if anything.

The Future

In her future, Violet likely works on her wings more, though she may never learn to actually fly she still works twice as hard to build up the muscles that they've been lacking throughout her life, and actually gets them surprisingly strong, catching the attention of other winged people quite often. She likely keeps her hair purplem because hey, why not, it's fun? But, perhaps she finally gets done with it and chops it off to shoulder-length to give more freedom to her wings. She also just gets more fully developed as you would expect from a teenager going to an adult, and end up more pear-shaped and solid with muscle. I image she'd likely work either with animals or kids in some way? Maybe teaching kids who are different species like her? I think it'd be cute if she worked with Link too?
