The Unwavering Spirit
"I was raised surrounded by war, so I will always fight for what I want without fail. Nothing scares me anymore."
Kara is a soul that currently resides in the Underworld. When she was alive, she was an assassin who took many jobs to earn enough money for her and her daughter. She was publicly executed at the age of 29 and her soul was judged to go to the Underworld. It was here that Kara discovered her unique ability; she was able to faze through anything. Physical and magical attacks could not touch her, and it wasn't long before the higher ups found out. Kara was soon approached by one of the archdemons, Leviathan, and was offered a deal for her services. Kara reluctantly agreed, and she was quickly introduced to the chaotic world of the archdemons. There, she worked hard to earn their respect and be seen as an equal. She's a strong willed and persistent woman, but still a kind and gentle person at heart.
She lived with the archdemons for a few centuries (not much time for immortal beings like them) and ended up impacting their lives in a way they never saw coming. She brought out a sense of humanity in creatures who were originally created without emotion, and impacted the way the Underworld was ran. Even though her life ultimately ended in tragedy, her legacy lives on through the people who knew her, and through the son she left behind.

Personality
Persistent
Kara is a very persistent person. It's a trait that she learned from her father when she was young. Kara wanted to grow up to be a warrior, but nobody ever took her seriously because she was a woman. It was normal for people to ignore her, so Kara's father taught her to be more assertive and to not give up until people listened to her. This eventually made Kara become extremely patient with people and also very stubborn. It's very hard to make Kara stop doing something once she becomes determined. Her persistence very often puts Kara in messy situations, but it's that same persistence that helps her get out of them.
Kind
Kara is a kind person. She is very compassionate and will always offer someone a helping hand if she considers them to be a good person. Even towards her enemies, Kara still displays kindness. For the people she's killed, Kara always made their deaths quick and painless. She would even pray for them after the job was done. This kindness is a trait that she naturally inherited from her parents, and she was taught early on that it was not a weakness. However, just because Kara is kind does not mean she is gullible. Kara knows who to extend her kindness to, and she makes sure to never be taken advantage of.
Courageous
Kara is a righteous person, so if she sees injustice of any kind, she will intervene without fail. She's a proud viking, and vikings do not run from battle. Her courage and confidence can be very overwhelming to others, and this is because Kara exudes so much of it to hide her fears. In Kara's mind, fear leads to hesitating, and hesitating can lead to death on the battlefield. In the world Kara has lived in, she knows injustice will never change if she let's her fears control her, so she faces them head on and overcomes them the best she can.
Quick-witted
She wanted to be a warrior, so Kara learned to improvise and plan quickly from all the rigorous training she endured when she was alive. It takes only seconds for Kara to analyze her surroundings and develop a course of action. From her training, she already knows her own physical limits along with the limits of her charisma. Her goal is always survival, so Kara's always thinking of ways to stay alive no matter what situation she's in. Kara's quick thinking has helped her escape death many times, but it can only go so far.
Adaptable
Besides her wit and improvisions, Kara is also very adaptable. Since she worked as an assassin for so many years, Kara has learned to fit in with her surroundings no matter where she is. Whether it's in a dirty alley or a party full of nobility, Kara analyzes everything to blend in perfectly. She's endured harsh temperatures and even harsher restrictions on how she can act, but Kara has always learned how to overcome it. All it takes is time and patience, and both are things that Kara has a lot of.
Charismatic
Working as an assassin isn't all about strength. Charisma and socializing are also very important, and these are things that Kara struggled to learn the most. Kara doesn't like bowing her head to people she doesn't like, but sometimes she has to in order to earn their trust. Over the years, Kara learned to use her appearance and words to deceive others, and this eventually made Kara exude charisma all the time. Even when she's not pretending, people are still naturally drawn to her.

Story
Part 1 - Life
Kara was born in Norway during the 11th century when vikings still existed. She was the daughter of the village chief and was raised in a relatively good environment. She loved her father and wanted to become a viking leader like him, but nobody except her father would support her. She would train everyday to become strong and would eventually be able to fight men twice her size. However, her family started urging her to get married when she turned 16 and told her to stop her viking nonsense. They would find many suitors for her, but Kara's father would always step in and drive them away. Her father was a man who believed in following your own path, so he assured Kara that she could get married whenever she wanted or not get married at all. It was one of the many qualities that Kara admired about him.
However, Kara's father went into battle one day and never returned. He was killed in combat overseas and his body could not be retrieved. Kara was only 19, but everything he left behind was now left to her. Kara was his only child after all, so Kara reluctantly took his position and became the village chief. She had to quickly adjust to her new diplomatic position and was constantly challenged by the men of the village. Her family urged her to find a husband now more than ever because there was no way a woman could do the job. Kara was frustrated, but powered through and showed everyone how much of a good leader she was. But this did not stop her family from finding a suitor for her, and they soon arranged for her to marry a man from another village. Kara could not stop this marriage as it would admittedly create a good alliance, but she was very unhappy about it.
Kara did not love her new husband, far from it actually. He was a man who paid her no attention and took leadership of her village without her consent. He was an arrogant man who used his position to commit terrible things. Even when Kara bore him a child, he still did not care for them. Kara had a daughter when she was 20, and she named her Anna. Her husband wanted a son, but Kara refused to bear him anymore children. This eventually drove her husband to have an affair with other women, but Kara didn't care. The only thing she cared about now was her daughter. She wanted to find a way out of this life, and that opportunity eventually came when she found out about her husband's secret.
She just happened to overhear when she woke up late one night and decided to take a walk outside. Her husband was drunk and talking to a friend. He admitted to this friend that it was him who had killed Kara's father in battle. He had been plotting to take control over Kara's village for a long time and now he just needed to make Kara disappear for it to be all his. He was planning to kill Kara and her daughter in their sleep, but before Kara could hear anymore, she attacked. In just a few minutes, she murdered her own husband and his colleague. Realizing what she just did, Kara decided to flee from the village along with her daughter. Kara couldn't stay there anymore as someone would surely find out about what she did, so she packed her things and left that night with Anna in her arms.
The journey wasn't an easy one, but Kara persisted through blizzards and freezing nights to get her and her daughter to safety. She knew there was a bounty on her head already for killing her husband, so she had to keep herself undercover. She took on many jobs, but still struggled to make decent money. She would often starve for days to make sure her daughter didn't, but Anna was a sickly girl that needed many things. Kara eventually found a nice paying job that required her to work on the fields, but the long hours and hard work forced her to uncover her face and body so she wouldn't overheat. Nobody realized she was a woman until that moment, and things quickly spiralled downward. Now, Kara was constantly being harassed by the men who worked with her. Kara put up with it for a while, but one day it went too far.
It was at night when Kara was finally heading home. Her usual route was blocked off, so she had to take a shortcut through the woods. Four men who worked with her that day surrounded her. Kara was no idiot, and she knew exactly what they wanted to do to her. She was outnumbered and with no weapons, but her years of training with her father never left her. Without fear, she faced those men head on and killed each of them by biting off their flesh and snapping their necks. It was a tough fight, but Kara was able to walk away with just some cuts and bruises. She was angry that she had to find another job again, but was then stopped by an old woman who had witnessed everything. Kara thought she was screwed, but the old woman was impressed with her fighting skills. She told Kara that she could offer her a new job and new life if she came with her, but Kara was unsure. After some persuasion, she decided to take the offer.
The old woman kept her word, and Kara and Anna were taken to a whole new country and were given new identities. The old woman wanted to recruit Kara to be an assassin. She could see how smart and powerful she was, and with enough training she knew Kara could be a high class killer. Kara was not afraid to kill, but she didn't like doing it. However, the old woman told her that many people pay a high price for a good assassin. She was an assassin herself in the past and now goes undercover to find and train new assassins. She saw great potential in Kara and even offered to take care of her daughter while she was away. Kara eventually gave in and began her training. In just half a year at age 24, she started her career as a contract killer.
Kara was an excellent assassin who used her wit and beauty to lead many people to their deaths. She wasn't well known at first, but was finally made aware to the public when she killed an important figurehead in the Danish Royal Family. Nobody knew Kara's identity, so they dubbed her the Invisible Killer. For years, the Royal Army and police chased after her but they could never catch her. At the age of 29, Kara had become one of the most deadliest assassins in all of Europe. She was hired by many people, mostly nobility, to go after elites and other wealthy people. She was paid very well, and was able to live comfortably with her daughter in a protected area. Anna had become a healthy and lively girl, and Kara wanted to be a part of her life more. She decided then that she would stop her assassin career when she turned 30 since she already had enough money to live off of. However, she was never able to make that vision a reality.
It was just a normal job, or at least Kara thought it was. She was hired by an anonymous customer to kill off a wealthy landowner. It was supposed to be quick and simple, but it was all a set up. The person she killed turned out to be a petty criminal, and she was ambushed by the entire Royal Army as she tried to escape. She was quickly arrested and thrown in jail, having constant surveillance on her the whole time. The King himself decided her punishment, and it was for her to be hanged for her crimes. Kara had never been afraid of death, and she knew deep down this was bound to happen. Her only regret was leaving her daughter behind, but she knew her teacher would take good care of Anna. The following day, Kara was publicly hanged.
Part 2 - Afterlife
After death, every human soul is judged by the archangels to determine whether or not they will go to the Upperworld or Underworld. In the past, the archdemons also made a judgment on the souls, but this job was forcibly taken away from them by the archangel Michael. When it was time for Kara's judgment, there was a slight disagreement.
Killing other humans is a sin that is looked down upon by the archangels, but there have been times where they've made exceptions (such as killings done in self defense). For Kara in particular, she indeed killed others in self defense but she also killed people for money. As an assassin, she always gave her targets a quick and painless death and even gave them a small prayer before leaving. Kara was very religious and prayed for forgiveness everyday. She knew what she did was wrong, but she kept doing it for the sake of providing her daughter the best life she could give her. Kara's soul was surprisingly untainted by negative emotions. She held no grudges, not even over her ex-husband. She was a humble woman who did not let her past chain her down.
The archangels were hesitant on where to send her soul. After some discussion, they decided to allow her into the Upperworld, but were quickly stopped by the archangel Michael. Michael rarely participated in soul judgments since he had more important matters to attend to, but he decided to participate that day. After seeing how many people Kara had killed, he did not hesitate in sending her to the Underworld. The other archangels protested and even pulled her soul back to the judgment area. There was a small tug of war with her soul, but Michael ultimately put his foot down and forced the other archangels to follow his orders. Kara was then promptly sent to the Underworld, but her soul had been slightly changed after the whole ordeal.
Once she arrived in the Underworld, Kara wasn't that surprised. She knew her sins would catch up to her eventually, so she accepted her punishment. The Underworld had a society of it's own, and Kara quickly realized that surviving would not be easy. As soon as she entered this new world, she was ambushed by many people. She was "fresh meat," and the souls who found her wanted to capture and use her for their own benefit. Kara was severely outnumbered and outclassed, and not even her assassination skills could buy her time to escape. She was cornered and was about to lose all hope until the strangest thing happened. When the other souls lunged at her, they passed right through her. It was as if she was a ghost.
Nobody, not even Kara knew what had happened. In the Underworld and Upperworld, souls still kept their physical bodies, so Kara's ghostly form didn't make sense. They tried attacking her various times, but nothing ever reached her. Kara didn't understand how she was avoiding their attacks, but she used it to her advantage and was able to run away from the other souls. She was able to faze through any object she encountered, even the ground beneath her feet. She didn't know how it worked, but she at least made sure she didn't sink into the ground by concentrating on it. When she found somewhere safe to hide, she decided she would do her best to learn and control this strange ability. She knew it was her only hope of surviving in this world.
To make a long story short, Kara spent the next few years mastering her new ability while also learning about how the Underworld worked. She learned that there was a hierarchy. On top stood the Ruler of the Underworld (he didn't have a name) and his group of 5 powerful archdemons. Below them were the barons, high class demons that were created by (and served) the archdemons. Below them were the thousands of regular demons (led by the barons) who were tasked with punishing the human souls. And even amongst the humans, there were some unluckier than others. In order to get protection and avoid punishment, there were humans who captured and offered other humans to the demons as sacrifices. This created a large and corrupt human slave trade that many new dead souls unfortunately got caught up in. Kara was very lucky to avoid this fate.
It took her about 6 years to truly master her fazing, and she had to use it almost constantly to avoid being captured by hunters. Even in the Underworld, dead souls were still burdened with things like hunger, pain, and tiredness. Kara had to steal any food she could scavenge and always slept with one eye open. This world made her trust nobody, but it didn't stop her from doing what she thought was right. After mastering her ability, Kara made it her mission to intercept and stop the kidnapping and trading of dead souls. She knew it was ridiculous, especially since she was most likely saving terrible people, but she couldn't sit back and let people be used as bargaining chips. She specifically targeted the sex slave trade and helped the kidnapped souls escape. At the end of it all, she would sneak up on the demon who initiated everything and snap their neck.
Just like when she was alive, Kara kept her identity a secret when she went on her missions. If her face was revealed, she would no doubt be hunted by thousands of dead souls and demons alike. On one mission in particular, she once again freed a group of souls and faced off with the demon in charge. However, this demon was a baron. Kara had only ever killed regular demons, so this was a new challenge for her. Unlike regular demons, barons were able to wield magic. Kara was having difficulty fighting this demon, but to her surprise a group of people came to her aid. It was 6 women that Kara had freed prior. With their help, they killed the baron and were able to escape.
Kara did not trust these women, and she was sure that they didn't trust her either. When they came to a safe place where nobody would find them, the group of women cut straight to the chase. They told Kara that they were originally planning on robbing the baron but were captured before they could do so. They had heard rumors of Kara and what she was doing in the Underworld, but they were surprised to see it was all true. They wanted to strike a deal with Kara, one that benefited both of them. They offered to help Kara free as many (if not all) human souls from enslavement. In exchange, they wanted her help in stealing the demons' riches since Kara was somehow untouchable. Kara agreed to the deal as long as the women provided her a place to eat and sleep, as well as keeping her identity a secret. Their alliance was shaky to say the least, but they made it work.
With their help, Kara was able to free more souls and eventually started gaining a reputation. Her reputation was both good and bad. On one hand, there were souls that were grateful to her for freeing them and killing their oppressors. On the other hand, there were demons and souls who hated her because she was interfering with a long-standing and successful business in the Underworld. She was once again a wanted criminal, but thanks to her fazing ability, nobody was able to capture her this time. She spent the next century making a name for herself, along with the women who helped her. Kara learned many different languages and cultures, met many different people, and saw some of the most gruesome things to ever be done in the Underworld. The more she saw and learned, the stronger she became, and she soon caught the attention of someone she least expected.
Part 3 - The Archdemons
Killing demons and the mass freeing of souls could only go unnoticed for so long. In the Underworld, it was normal to stay quiet and keep secrets, but rumors about Kara were bound to spread even if it took a century for it to happen. Everyone knew about the mysterious human able to kill demons, and many barons started to fear for their lives. The rumors were eventually able to reach those highest in the hierarchy. Specifically, they reached the high ranking archdemon Leviathan. Leviathan was the archdemon who handled most of the politics in the Underworld, which meant it was normal for him to speak with the barons. One of the barons just happened to tell him of the rumors, but played it off as just a silly story. Leviathan didn't take it seriously either, but after checking his reports, he realized that the number of barons were mysteriously decreasing.
Leviathan was a man of business, and he realized that whatever was causing the barons to disappear interfered with it. He eventually started to do his own research on this mysterious human. He didn't expect any of it to be true, but his research soon led him to countless eye witnesses and many dead demons. Leviathan still couldn't believe it, but he decided he would try to catch whoever was doing this. He was an intelligent man, and it was easy for him to figure out how this human decided which demons to attack. He predicted where they would strike next and made necessary arrangements for their capture. When the day came, he was surprised to say the least. He did not expect the killer to actually be a human, and a woman at that. Her fighting skills were impressive, and she was able to immobilize the demons he sent in record time. What struck him the most interesting though, was this woman's strange fazing ability. He had never seen anything like it before.
Leviathan knew at that moment that he had to study this woman. He needed to know how her fazing ability worked and if other people could somehow access it. He approached Kara just as she finished killing the demons, and his presence stopped her in her tracks. This was a demon on a completely different level than the barons, and Kara froze out of fear. She knew what he was, and Leviathan knew she knew. He was straightforward with what he wanted and asked Kara to come with him to the Lord's Palace. He was interested in her power and wanted to study her. He reached out for a handshake, but it was then that Kara tried to escape. She fazed through him easily and ran as fast as she could. As powerful as Leviathan was, there was no way he could catch her. At least, she thought he couldn't. In the blink of an eye, Kara stopped moving. Or more accurately, she couldn't bring her body to move.
Leviathan had activated his Curse, which gave him the power to control anyone's joints and muscles. He made Kara stop without needing to touch her and moved her body like a puppet right back to him. He asked for her to at least listen to his proposal and would not release her until he got an answer. At this point, Kara was well versed with deals and asked Leviathan what she would get out of it all. Leviathan told her he would give her whatever she wanted within reason. Unlimited riches, a life where she was never cold or hungry, or the highest position amongst the barons for example. But Kara didn't want any of that, she told Leviathan that she wanted all human slaves to be released from demon control. It was a big request, one that would cause a major financial decline if there was no back up, but Leviathan accepted her terms. If he could somehow learn how to harness her fazing ability, that alone would be much more beneficial than a system ran by human trafficking.
And so, they headed straight for the Demon Lord's Palace. Leviathan explained that Kara's request could not be done within a day and that he needed to have a lengthy discussion with the Lord first. In the meantime, he assured Kara that he would get her permission to live within the palace until everything was sorted out. He asked about her ability and how it worked, but even Kara didn't know everything. Leviathan said she was the first (and probably only) soul who had ever possessed such an ability and that it shouldn't be wasted on killing lowly demons. Kara did not trust Leviathan or his intentions, but she decided to play along until she got what she wanted. When they reached the palace, they happened to run into the Lord of the Underworld himself. Kara could barely keep herself standing in his presence, and Leviathan briefly told him why Kara was there. The Lord didn't seem to care for Kara one bit though, and he told Leviathan to get Kara cleaned since she smelled like trash. Kara wasn't quick to anger, but this entire situation had made her very stressed. When the Lord insulted her, she couldn't hold herself back and insulted him right back. She looked him right in the eye and called him an entitled jackass, much to Leviathan's horror. Leviathan quickly apologized and left with her, but it was too late. Kara and the Lord now had terrible impressions of each other.
Kara got quite the lecture from Leviathan afterwards and she acknowledged that what she did was stupid. And on the topic of telling her what she shouldn't do, Leviathan also warned her about the other archdemons that she might encounter. Unlike Leviathan, who held no hostility towards humans, the other archdemons were a different story. Asmodeus and Beelzebub hated humans immensely, and while Berith didn't express it, he was hostile to them too. Leviathan also emphasized that she stay away from Astaroth, the most dangerous of them all, simply because he was a psychopath that killed anything on sight. Kara listened to him since she didn't want to get on anyone's bad side (yet), but she asked what she could do while everything was getting done. Leviathan said that besides letting him do some examinations on her, she could make herself useful in the palace by finding work with the servants. Kara didn't want to be a maid, but Leviathan didn't give her much of a choice. Soon, she began her work in the palace and avoided the Demon Lord as much as she could.
It took a few years for all the enslaved souls to be freed since it required meticulous planning, but it was accomplished nonetheless. Kara was happy that Leviathan kept his word, so she kept hers as well. She wouldn't leave the palace until Leviathan found out the secret to her ability. She also became acquainted with him overtime and concluded that he wasn't as bad as she thought he was. She had seen the other archdemons in passing, but never formally introduced herself to them. As for her relationship with the Demon Lord, it was still quite strained. They would give each other dirty looks and act passive aggressively towards each other. To the Demon Lord's dismay, he couldn't hurt nor intimidate Kara thanks to her fazing ability, so he mostly just ignored her existence.
By this time, Kara had grown accustomed to living in the palace and became more curious about the other archdemons. Leviathan had told her each of their respective curses and would time and time again warn her not to approach them. But Kara was confident that her fazing ability would keep her safe, so she decided it was time to get to know them all. To her dismay, it didn't go so well. Asmodeus simply ignored her, Beelzebub threw some insults at her before retreating to his library, Berith vanished the moment they made eye contact, and she couldn't even find Astaroth. She figured it was hopeless trying to talk to them, but to her surprise the Demon Lord came to try to comfort her. He told her that they were all stressed from the current war they were having with the archangels, and that they weren't normally so mean. He admitted that they didn't like Kara when she first arrived, but like him they were already accustomed to her presence. Kara was surprised that the Lord actually spoke to her considering that they didn't really like each other, but his words were a comfort. She thanked him and their tense relationship seemed to slowly settle down after that.
To once again make an already long story shorter, Kara spent a long time trying to befriend the other archdemons. She was very persistent, but still tried to be respectful. It took literal decades, but she was successful to a degree. She befriended Berith when they found out they had a common love for gardening and soft music. She befriended Beelzebub when she realized he was suffering from relationship issues and offered him advice. She even befriended the psychotic Astaroth when she realized he was simply lonely and wanted a friend. The only one she couldn't befriend was Asmodeus. To put it bluntly, Asmodeus was an awful person. She hated Kara with a burning passion and would make her life in the palace as difficult as possible. Kara gave up trying to befriend her since it was clear that Asmodeus viewed everyone as an ant beneath her. But on a brighter note, her relationship with the Demon Lord was slowly getting better.
Since the Demon Lord couldn't intimidate Kara nor kick her out of the palace (since he too wanted to know about her ability), he gave up trying to be strict with her and started showing his true, laidback self. Since Kara worked in his palace, he would see her around time to time and occassionally thanked her for her work. Behind the intimidating front he put up, the Demon Lord was just a tired man who hated politics and just wanted to do fun things. He was a great leader of course, but he didn't like having so many responsibilities. Kara would frequently catch him taking naps in the library or getting a snack when he was supposed to be doing paperwork. She liked seeing this human side of him and realized he wasn't as big of a jerk as she thought he was. She would do small things to help him, such as bringing coffee and food to his study or covering him in a blanket when she found him napping. The Lord appreciated it and would sometimes open up about his frustrations to her. They started talking more and eventually apologized for insulting each other when they first met. Overtime, they became good friends.
One day, Kara decided to call the Demon Lord "Andrew". She was tired of calling him "Lord" and reasoned that he should also have a name since the other archdemons have one. Leviathan was very much against this idea, but the Lord found the name very charming. From that day onward, he insisted that everyone call him "Andrew". With each passing year, Leviathan never seemed any closer to figuring out Kara's fazing ability, but it honestly didn't bother him much. He liked having Kara around and so did the other archdemons (besides Asmodeus). Everyone seemed to like her, and even Andrew didn't want her to leave. So Leviathan eventually just stopped his research and let Kara do as she wished. She became a part of their group in a strange way, and she would eventually become the most important thing to all of them even after she was gone. [END]
Andrew
[ lovers ]
Good ol' enemies to friends to lovers trope hell yeah. When Kara and Andrew finally got over the petty insults and glares, they realized that they actually liked each other's company. Since it was just them and the servants that lived in the palace, they spent a lot of time together and would eventually become friends. They shared personal things with the other and built trust overtime. Eventually, they realized they wanted to be more than friends. Andrew was the one who confessed first, but it took a while for Kara to reciprocate since she was reminded of her previous failed marriage. Eventually though, Kara realized Andrew would never become like her ex-husband and took a leap of faith. They became lovers, but decided to keep their relationship a secret from everyone.
Leviathan
[ friends ]
Kara didn't trust Leviathan at first, but he was pretty much harmless and looked out for Kara while she was in the palace. He was very smart and answered any question Kara had for him. He did his best to make sure she was comfortable, and Kara eventually warmed up to him. They made small talk whenever Leviathan visited the palace, specifically about Norway since Leviathan was very acquainted with the country. He even brought her back Norwegian clothes so she could be reminded of her homeland. They're very good friends, even though Leviathan can be a tad overprotective sometimes.
Astaroth
[ friends ]
Astaroth was the demon Kara was warned the most about, which is all the more reason she wanted to approach him. She wanted to know why he was so violent, and she eventually found out that it was because he was terribly lonely. After a tense first encounter, she offered him companionship and promised she wouldn't abandon him. Astaroth became quite attached to her after that and would spend the most time with her outside of the palace. They grew to have a strong bond and Kara was able to help mend the torn relationship Astaroth had with the other archdemons. She was the most important person to Astaroth, and he would do anything to make her happy.
Berith
[ friends ]
Berith was a very difficult demon to approach since he liked to be alone, but Kara at least wanted to get on good terms with him. Berith was very elusive, and Kara would lose track of him in the blink of an eye. She would, however, see him by the compost bins throwing away some dead plants. He seemed to always throw away the same one, and Kara realized he was having trouble making it grow. Kara was familiar with the plant since it was native to her homeland. It could only survive in cold climates, but the Underworld was too hot for it. Kara helped this plant grow and left it by the compost bin as a peace offering. When Berith saw it, he didn't show any emotion, but he approached Kara one day and led her to his secret garden. He asked her to show him how she grew the plant, and Kara was happy to. They bonded slowly overtime in his garden.
Beelzebub
[ acquaintances ]
Beelzebub was the easiest demon to approach since people always came to him with questions. But if Kara didn't have a question for him, he'd kick her out immediately. He hated humans the most and his temper would flare around her. Kara was persistent though, and would come to his library everyday. She eventually found a small section of books in Braille. None of the archdemons were blind, so she asked Beelzebub why he had them. It was a touchy subject for him though, so she stopped asking. One day, Beelzebub came up to her and apologized for his rudeness. He explained that she reminded him of someone he used to know and left it at that. Kara didn't understand, but she was glad he wouldn't yell at her anymore. They eventually found out that they liked similar literature and Kara would bring them tea whenever she visited.
Asmodeus
[ enemies ]
There is literally nothing but pure hate between these two. Asmodeus made it clear that she would kill Kara in a heartbeat if she could. If Kara even tried to approach her, Asmodeus would spew the meanest insults her way. She would even torment Kara by leaving dead bodies by her room and sending demons to constantly attack her. Asmodeus wanted Kara dead, and Kara didn't understand why. Asmodeus essentially told her to fuck off and leave her alone or else she would make her life a nightmare. Kara knew she wasn't joking, so she stopped trying to approach her. Asmodeus was a demon fueled by pure hatred, and Kara would never be able to change that.
