Trivia
Aikon used to go by the alias of James when he went off Kame Island and into Satan City. Even when he first encountered Goku and Bulma he kept that alias. It wasn’t until Raditz’ first appearance 5 years after King Piccolo’s defeat did his true name become revealed to them.
Although Aikon doesn't prefer the Saiyan lifestyle, he couldn't help but keep the War Boots that most Saiyans wear with the normal Saiyan warrior getup.

History
Aikon wasn't a regular Saiyan. He was possibly the only Saiyan who despised the choices and dictatorship of Planet Vegeta and the other Saiyans. He was 11 when Kakarot was sent to a planet called 'Earth' to destroy the life forms inhabiting it. In fact, he was caught eavesdropping on two Saiyans who were talking about the situation. Thankfully, he made a quick escape in an escape pod, but at a cost. His tail was cut off trying to evade the other Saiyans. He knew when he landed the escape pod, he had to make sure it would never be found. So he chose to do something that almost ended his life: he crashed the escape pod into the ocean.
What one could assume to be a day after the crash, Aikon woke up to find himself at Master Roshi's house, and, after meeting the old coot himself, Roshi decided to let Aikon live with him, while undergoing training under the master teachings.
