Astrid | Main character of Astrid and the Dream Team | she/her

Astrid is a shining star among the Dream Teamers of Sleep City. She's creative, focused, brave and a true leader, with a very advanced ability to manipulate dreams. Despite her age, she's been a Teamer for a while, with a somewhat mysterious past of how she first came to Sleep City. Dream Weavers and Teamers alike know her for her honest and blunt nature, her moral resolve, and her somewhat offbeat sense of humor. What most don't know is that Astrid is autistic - something she is bullied for back in the real world. And since Astrid has so many friends and has garnered so much respect in Sleep City, it's a fact about herself she'd like to keep under wraps...

Being an experienced Teamer, Astrid has mastered the use of her Mindful Weapon, a blue battle axe. She's a fan of fighting Nightmares head-on and her strength is doubled by her conviction and confidence. Astrid's Nightmare partner is one of Hunter's creations - Frosty the Snow Leopard Griffon, who has ice breath powers. Frosty is large enough to carry Astrid on his back, and the two of them have a strong bond forged over many years. 

Astrid meets Leah at the start of the story, when she appears in Leah's dream to fight off her reoccurring nightmare. Leah is awed by Astrid's display of prowess and Astrid, unable to tell a convincing lie on the spot, brings Leah to Sleep City and invites her onto her Dream Team. Leah, Astrid and Skylar form a new Team and go off fighting Nightmares and rescuing children from the ever growing entropy of the world.
