Background
Originally from a dream. Setting is endless forests and woodlands. Raised semi-secretly within a plot of land defended by a ring of trees infected with a kind of parasite(symbiotic relationship where the community within both worships and cares for this parasite, and in turn it protects the community).
Foster parents are race of timid, smaller creatures. Appearance is very earthen - color range is shades of brown; fairly humanoid with rounded and slightly small mammal like features. Gentle and harmless creatures.
Ironically, she is raised not knowing she is from a predator species that commonly preys on the species of her parents. She struggles with her instincts and urges growing up, and is fearful of hurting those around her. Eventually she comes to terms with what she is and decides to leave the community, as soon the parasites would detect her, and she lives on outside.
She returns to see her parents every now and again to let them know how she's been.
Notes
- skin is smooth, white, and slightly translucent
- "mane" is made up of various plants, in this case succulents (echevaria, mainly). Other individuals may grow other plants.
- manes need to be artificially planted first, afterwards they are maintained by the body.
- her race is largely arboreal, and tends to prefer quadrupedal movement; very large-cat like
