Luca Regreba

One of the two main antagonists of the story. Luca is a polite but reclusive man who rarely leaves his home. He was Ira's childhood friend, and since their reunion and subsequent relationship the two have trusted and supported each other unconditionally. Luca is less well-known than his husband, and in his few public appearances alongside him he has often had to leave early due to a sudden onset of sickness. Despite his apparent frailty, Luca is possessed of immense spirit and will do whatever it takes to make the change he seeks. Luca is secretly a Nexian, although he has hidden this to prevent mandatory induction into one of the New World's institutes.
