Mao

Mao is a dainty with a rather carefree nature despite starting out with a very impoverished and unfortunate life. He was abandoned since he was barely an adolescent and was left to care for himself. For him to survive each day he'd resort to doing any kinds of favors, even sleeping with strangers for a meal. Despite these circumstances he looked at life with a positive outlook, and always prioritized self-care even at his worst. He managed to get by so far through making friends and connections in any village he'd settle in.

One rainy day he got unlucky with a client, and was thrown out badly hurt. He thought it was the end for him, until a man picked him up from the muddy street and brought him home. It was a long road to recovery but he eventually got nursed back to health. Finding out how expensive his medication was, he was given a choice to pay his debt with services he least expected, by being a housekeeper to keep the large traditional home clean and spotless. Having no money he reluctantly accepted the deal. At least his new host and employer is a very attractive young man.

Mao's host and current love interest. Shun is a masculine dainty with a beautiful face, and has a robust and large built which Mao finds so attractive. He is a blacksmith who inherited his home and wealth from an old man who taught him everything but has recently passed away. Because Shun barely shows any expression on his face, Mao finds it difficult to guess what he's thinking or feeling. Till now Mao doesn't know the reasons why Shun decided to save him that fateful day.
