Azriel Fletcher (XYZ)

Azriel Fletcher is a wanted criminal that's notorious for making scenes wherever they go.  Having never known their birth parents, Azriel's budding rebelliousness landed them a diagnosis of "problem child" as they were passed around the foster care system, further perpetuating their tendency to act out.  This was a frustrating life enough already, never getting attached to any parents, siblings, or classmates, but things took a turn for the worse when their newest family became so fed up with them that they were planning to sell them as material for The Enforcers.  Escaping that urgent situation and hopping around cross-country was their very first scheme, which eventually landed them in the Neo Acadian Federation, and hearing PHANTOM and her rebel organization, Future Sound, over the airwaves.  While Azriel liked Future Sound's ideas, they felt acts of artistic protest wouldn't hit nearly as hard as direct action.

Still, PHANTOM stayed in the back of their mind as they started earning a reputation as an infamous local criminal.  They've found quite the niche as a go-to specialist for anything anyone needs stolen, landing them all sorts of odd jobs in this lawless society.  The operations Azriel leads can include anything from quietly nabbing essential supplies to bold, public demonstrations (the latter being their favorite, of course).  Their most high-profile crime yet was the theft of a protoype psionic implant, which they promptly had back-alley surgeoned into their own brain, naturally.  With this implant, they can read and manipulate people's emotions, further giving them a strategic advantage in any interpersonal encounters...but getting this operation done also put them into debt with Kaduceus.  Though neither of them admit it, Kaduceus essentially became Azriel's boss, as it turns out, a lot of medical supplies and chemicals are out there, ripe for the taking.  With his body hacking expertise in exchange for stolen goods, Azriel also had Kaduceus install glowing tattoos on their face, because...why the hell not?  It certainly makes a statement.

Later still, Azriel came across Rei, able to sense their emotional distress with their implant.  Taking them in and unchaining them from the Enforcers also put them in contact/debt with Marshal.  Marshal eventually set the two up with a shabby place to squat in, and even offered Rei some work.  Most recently, Azriel encountered the homeless android Carmichael wandering the streets, and quickly talked him into becoming their newest misfit household member as he takes time to reorganize his life.  They're a bit of an odd couple, but those that know them both can see Carmichael as a potential grounding force for Azriel, helping to reel in their more chaotic tendencies.  However, Carmichael's previous life was under the watch of C3, the biggest megacorporation in the city, and his presence could potentially cast more eyes upon them.  The trio's existence here is unsustainable, and if C3 comes sniffing around for "their" android, Azriel could be in a world of trouble.  It's under this kind of pressure that Azriel remembers a certain rebellious radio hostess, and wishes to propose an alliance.  However, PHANTOM lives up to her name, and is elusive even in online spaces...tracking and charisma aren't exactly their forte, but if it's what it takes for Azriel to ensure the safety of their friends, they're going to have to learn.
