The blue of his glasses and the blue/black/white stripes of his pants bring to mind Neptune and its bands of clouds.
The logo design on the back of his jacket is also based on the Great Dark Spot and its white clouds.

His markings are all dramatic V shapes, for the prongs of a trident and Neptune's symbol.
