Profile

galsym.pngOn the planet of Rixile, there exist ten gods.

The deity of the Metal element, Galvan is considered the most unsmiley member of the pantheon, yet his people celebrate him highly.  He's obsessive over his domain, and even removed one of his own eyes, integrating it with his Sanctuary to better keep watch on the various timelines.  He values control over all else, including control of the environment.

Galvan is said to be the one that planted his territory with riches deep underground, and as such his people value mining, metallurgy, and technology.  Despite the imposing image, he can be quite socially awkward and easily flustered--he's a bit embarrassed that his people wear masks in honor of him.

Galvan's greatest allies (and only real "friends") are the Edistrian Alliance, his neighbors Volt and Terra.  Aether is his rival for all eternity, having similar values as him but an entirely opposing way of going about it.

He hasn't shown himself for centuries, but his people can feel him in the reliable ticking of every clock, and in the excitement of every new invention.  His symbol represents a nut and bolt.

  • In Rixile lore, the element of Metal is considered orderly and aptitudinal--orderly in that it is reliable and concrete, as ores lie in wait for mortals to use them, and aptitudinal in that the cycles of the planet are enriched with its presence.
  • The other orderly elements are Light, Wood, Ice, and Earth, while the only other aptitudinal element is Air, thus considered Galvan's opposite.

Additional Worldbuilding Information:

Race: MeksMek_clothes.png

Meks are sturdily built, especially in their dense musculature and skeletal structure, giving them advantages when climbing and keeping their balance; it takes a lot for a mek to break their bones.  Their gray skin is thick and they possess one of the highest temperature tolerances of the races.  Notably, their claws are sensitive to touch and can even be used to analyze the content of rocks and ores.  They're one of the shorter races, and one of two with digitigrade legs.  They also possess black sclerae, bright irises, long ears, flat noses, and lack eyebrows.

tektios1.pngTerritory: Tektios

Tektios has had little non-mek occupation through the years, mostly restricted to the small islands off the coast.  Rival aronites especially want a piece of Tektios to keep eyes on what new technology they could make next.  While the land is near the equator, massive deforestation and mining efforts have dried up a good portion of the territory, drawing scrutiny.

Sanctuary: Eternal Iuviatektios.png

Iuvia is said to be the world’s first cave, where Galvan keeps watch on various timelines through the tunnels.  It carries the appearance of a mine, but visitors are barred from entering more than a handful of meters in, because of frightening reports that the cave is more like a never-ending labyrinth, and unproven accounts of lost explorers becoming “unstuck in time.”
