Profile

aethsym.pngOn the planet of Rixile, there exist ten gods.

The deity of the Air element, Aether is as spontaneous and fleeting as ideas in an inventor's mind; seen as the personification of ingenuity and the wind.  She's said to give inspiration through the breeze itself.  While the claims of Aether's wit are true, she has also been considered brutally honest, annoying, and arrogant.

Aether's arrogance isn't unfounded, however.  Her people are known for their wild experimentation and boundless curiosity, which make them great inventors and innovators.  However, she and her people have a reputation for going to war and settling in territories solely to gather intel and resources.

Aether's military allies change throughout time depending on her interests, but she mostly defends her neighbors Phyll and Cryos in exchange for strong trade.  She hates how stuffy Galvan is, despite his similar interests.

She hasn't shown herself for centuries, but her people can feel her in the ever-changing nature of the passing wind, and in the creative spark of an idea no one else has.  Her symbol represents the wind current.

  • In Rixile lore, the element of Air is considered chaotic and aptitudinal--chaotic in that it is transient and mutable, as climates are directed by the wind currents, and aptitudinal in that the cycles of the planet are enriched with its presence.
  • The other chaotic elements are Dark, Thunder, Fire, and Water, while the only other aptitudinal element is Metal, thus considered Aether's opposite.

Additional Worldbuilding Information:

Race: AronitesAronite_clothes.png

Aronites are small and quick, with the lightest skeleton of all the races, but also more prone to broken bones.  They're known for their saturated hair and eye colors, scaly limbs, and triangular markings that come in a variety of patterns.  They have strong eyesight and can see at much farther distances than other races.  Their hair grows thick on their head and arms, and naturally clumps.  Aronites are sensitive to the movement of their hair in the wind, and an aronite especially in tune with this sense can even predict the weather!

aervrin1.pngTerritory: Aervrin

Aervrin is one of the few territories that no other race has tried to colonize any part of.  Despite the small size, Aervrin has impassable mountains and strong manmade defenses backing it up.  The climate itself is pleasant and windy, but native aronites often feel boxed in and tend to emigrate to their neighbors' territories in an effort to grow their businesses.

Sanctuary: Aether's Cliffsaervrin.png

Aether’s Cliffs cover the northeastern shore of Aervrin.  The sanctuary looks deceptively simple at first, but the aronites say that all of Aether’s secrets are hidden invisibly in the air there.  There are legends about fools that dared jump the cliffs in search of these secrets in the gusts going down…only to find themselves falling forever.
