Profile
On the planet of Rixile, there exist ten gods.
The deity of the Light element, Sonata is the judge, jury, and executioner to her people, devoted to keeping the scales balanced. In legend she's responsible for keeping the sun burning, and she tirelessly hunts down the demons that threaten the world's supernatural order. She also has no sense of humor whatsoever.
Sonata is known as being almost intimidatingly passionate about her role as a keeper of order...but she also tends to refuse the help of others, which led to the collapse of her empire. The other races are seeing this now manifest in her people's modern isolationism.
Sonata has no real military alliances, but does enjoy collaboration with Galvan from time to time due to his equally serious demeanor. Do not mention Nocturne around her.
She hasn't shown herself for centuries, but her people can feel her in the sun's inviting warmth each day, and in the radiant beauty of their homeland. Her symbol, very obviously, represents the sun.
- In Rixile lore, the element of Light is considered orderly and integral--orderly in that it is reliable and concrete, as the sun will far outlast any mortal, and integral in that the cycles of the planet cannot flow forward without it.
- The other orderly elements are Wood, Ice, Metal, and Earth, while the only other integral element is Dark, thus considered Sonata's opposite.
Additional Worldbuilding Information:
Race: Soli
Soli are around average on the height/weight spectrum of the races, but their colors are striking. They have thick, wavy hair that shimmers in the light, and bold, almond-shaped eyes that provide a contrasting cool color. Their tail is mostly long hair and isn't very flexible at all. Soli all possess a blue "gem" on the center of their forehead, said to give them psychic powers that are poorly understood and vary from solus to solus. Despite their animalistic facial structure and tail, they actually can't grow body hair at all, not even facial hair!
Territory: Solennia
Solennia has remained untouched by other cultures, even against their better interests. The soli used to rule their own empire that rivaled Magna Pyra, but since its collapse, the soli have become more isolated, insular, and withdrawn. Solennia holds large amounts of ancient magical knowledge, but the soli rarely let foreigners share them.
Sanctuary: Laki Well
Solennia has many “crystal wells” that supply magical energy for export around the world, but Laki Well, located in the capital, is the largest and most majestic. Prismatic colors shimmer onto the walls surrounding it, and it even projects a beam of light into the sky through the ceiling's oculus. While foreigners may visit it, sullying Laki in any way is forbidden by the soli.
