Ajax is half demon, being born to a human mother and a high powered demon father. Ajax's mother, Rena, was very loving and tried her best to raise Ajax after his father left. He always asked about his father but his mother, not wanting to tell him the truth, simply said he had to leave. Ajax's father, Code, watched him very close but feared he'd endanger Ajax and Rena by staying with them. Ajax's mother passed when he was 3, getting into a crash on her way home. He went to live with a close friend of his mothers, Nickole.

Nickole knew all about Ajax and who his father was, and was always close to Ajax when he was a child. Everything was going well when Ajax began living with her, until he began showing signs of having demon blood. He'd throw tantrums that would spiral out of control, often hurting Nickole or himself. He began attracting lower demons, seeking to destroy Ajax and earn some reward from higher demons. Despite all of this Nickole stuck with Ajax, and Code never came to take over. Ajax didn't know much of his father growing up, Nickole would often avoid the topic at all costs. When Ajax was 6 his powers grew uncontrollable and he ended up killing Nickole. He fled the scene, terrified of himself and what he'd done. 

Ajax was found my Micha, Ajax's father's worst enemy. Micha admitted to have been watching Ajax for awhile and decided to step in to fill the parent role once Nickole had died. At first, Micha only wanted to use Ajax. He didn't care about his well being and only thought of the benefit Ajax's powers could give to himself. The more time he spent with Ajax the more he looked at him like a son. Micha soon became a father to Ajax, and Micha began helping Ajax control his powers. The two have a very close father and son bond, that not even Ajax's real father could break.
