Ann woke up on Melemele Island’s beach with no memory of how she got there. Mysteriously, Professor Kukui knew she was coming (Minus the “from another world” business) and gave her everything she needed to begin an island challenge. After receiving her starter, Ann left to undertake it, with only a superficial idea of what that actually entailed. Ann quickly learned how to train her Pokemon and navigate this new world, even if she did have a few fumbles in the beginning. Through studying and her rare ability to talk withnher Pokemon, Ann was able to become an above average trainer. As she progressed through trials, she grew more confident in her own skill, and, by the time she began the Water Trial, she felt like her team was invincible. Unfortunately, it didn’t last.

Fall

The water trial went… poorly. Afterwards, Ann struggled to pick up the pieces of her team, and to reconcile with what had happened. Thankfully, through their support, she was able to continue the island challenge, and has been slowly recovering. Now, although she is aware of how quickly she could lose her Pokemon, Ann has completed the trials of Akala Island, and will soon journey to Ula’Ula for the next leg of her journey.

Relationships

Grasshopper [Starter]

Grasshopper was Ann’s first Pokemon, and he remains one of her most supportive teammates. She strives to help Grasshopper with his confidence issues, but knows little of his past.

Arya [Pokemon]

Ann relies on Arya for help strategizing for major battles and navigating the world of Pokemon. The two are very close, and Arya has taught Ann a lot about Pokemon to help make her a better trainer.

Samantha [Pokemon]

Samantha imposed herself onto Ann’s team, and the pair can have a strained relationship at times as a result. Ann is constantly concerned over Samantha’s reckless battling style, and hopes she can find a way to get through to the overconfident lizard.
