Appearance: Tall and lanky, Amir has incredably good posture and likes to keep his head held high to show others his status. His actions are rather reserved and he talks in a soft, yet commanding voice.

Personality: Amir is spoiled royalty, or at least, is the next best thing. He comes from a ridiculous amount of money, and are therefore used to certain privileges. however, one thing that sets him apart from his other fabulously wealthy peers is his curiosity. Amir has a passionate love of knowledge, of culture, history, philosophy, geography, anything! He will leap at a chance to go on an exhibition, even if he be complaining about the weather and bugs the whole way there. His knowledge of the world makes him rather compassionate and sympathetic towards those less privileged, but he would never endanger his own status by helping others. He is proud of his vast knowledge, and is able to speak the languages from all 3 parts of the caste system, and takes his job as an advisor very seriously.

Likes: Books of all sorts, libraries, art galleries, maps and globes, museums, fine dining, bitter and savory foods, talking politics, studying, going to galas and parties, having discussions/arguements, brushing his hair, buying new garments and arranging his hair in new ways
Dislikes: Ignorant people in power, having to kiss the feet of those with more power than him, having to hold his tongue, going to sleep, bugs, the outdoors in general, interacting with poor/underprivledged people because of the self-reflection it causes on his own status and also doesn't enjoy interacting with people who are undere ducated, sweets and candies, getting dirty

Setting: Set in the country Sabah, this land boarders the ocean as well as several other countries, making for a wealthy nation due to exports. Many valuable goods and precious gems only being able to be found in certain areas of this country due to its underground volcanic activity and particular enviroment (A temperate enviroment with little humidity in most areas, but having dense tropical rainforests in others).
While politcally a peaceful country that has suffered through very few wars despite its rich resources, the internal politics are rather complex and the population is divided into three very strong general caste systems, the rich and royal reign in the middle of the country, the middle-class in the next ring and the poor living on the outskirts. This caste system is so powerful that the 3 groups speak completely different languages, and its almost unheard of to move from whatever position you were born into. There is gradients of wealth in each group, but each caste is completely seperate from one another with its own set of culture, language, economical and political systems, however all are over-governed by the Queen of Sabah. Another unique feature of Sabah is its main energy source comes from the heat and volcanic activity underground, rather than oil.

Backstory:
Born the son of a wealthy map maker who has explored the much of the world before settling in Sabah, Amir was brought up in a world of discovery and learning, surrounded by towering shelves of books on every subject imaginable. Raised by his single father and their many servants, Amir enjoyed the life of luxury since birth, however his curiosity of the rest of the world and the other cultures in Sabah led to him learning many new languages and going outside of the inner ring more than most of its other residents. After his father's passing, Amir inherited his fortune and decided to focus his knowledge into the political workings of Sabah, easily climbing through the political social ladder and leading to his career as an advisor.

Relationships:

Hakeem- The main librarian from the largest archive in the middle-class ring, a place Amir visits quite often. The two easily become friendly over time as Amir stops by once or twice a week for years on end, seemingly on a mission to read through every book in the entire library. Despite their social differences, Amir is head-over-heels in love with Hakeem's brilliant mind; his knowledge, intelligence and the way he views the world. Their relationship is intimately acedemic as they spend many hours discussing philospohies and theories with one another, and nothing makes Amir's heart beat faster than learning something new from Hakeem, their vast knowledge rivaling one another. Their personalities are rather complimentary as well, Hakeem's level-headedness balances against Amir's firey excitement for knowledge and pride in himself, and both loudly speak their minds, always ending up in interesting discussions.
Though incredably romantically involved, Amir wishes for their relationship to remain a secret as to not effect his social standings, something Hakeem begrudgingly agrees too.
