Katrina O' Dire

Ambitious / Witty / Honest / Supportive / Casual / Overworked / Natural Leader / Impulsive 

Katrina has plenty of ambition, but is slow to reach her goals and is distracted by immediate gratification. She takes on mountains of work at a time, and panics trying to reach deadlines before opportunities slip by. Often times she has to rely on her staff to remind her of these responsibilities and keep her eccentric nature in check. She feels guilty for depending on them when she should be a leader, but ultimately accepts she has a lot of work to do on herself before she can fully embrace her role. 

Rather than dwell on her fears of being inadequate, Katrina shrugs her shoulders and tries to accept as much of herself as she can. She fronts as someone careless and unbothered, particularly when it comes to other people. She's casual with strangers and embraces close friends like family. As for her strengths, Katrina is more intelligent than she lets on, and has enough life experience to offer decent advice. You can trust her to always be honest with her opinion, and she's one of the best people to go to for practical feedback. She also cares deeply for others, and will always offer help when she can.

Katrina is quick to form connections as long as the other's first impression sits well with her. If she picks up on a bad vibe, however, it takes her a while to verify whether or not she was right about the person's character from the start. This can cause her to act apprehensive towards another person, sometimes without them knowing what they did wrong. More often than not though, Katrina keeps a friendly attitude unless provoked to act otherwise.

Katrina is an equestrian mainly involved in english riding. She's gained some muscle from her sport, but has a thin build overall. Her complexion is pale and she has freckles across her face and body. Her hair is red and her eyes are green. She has a distinct roman nose.

backstory .
Katrina was born and raised on the rural side of California, though her family made frequent trips abroad to Ireland and parts of the UK where they had relatives. Surprisingly, she hasn't done much traveling otherwise, and has only been to a few other states within the U.S. Katrina's parents married rather late in their lives, and hence her father passed away during her mid-twenties. Her mother on the other hand constantly reassures Katrina that she's full of life, and keeps herself busy tending to their family home in the U.S. 

After her father's passing, Katrina gained ownership over the family's equestrian center in Ireland, as she was the only remaining member of the O'Dire bloodline. While historically the stable was treated as a prized possession among family members, Katrina sees it as an opportunity. She wants to achieve her vision of inspiring a diverse and welcoming riding community. She's put in plenty of hard work to revamp CBEC's image and bring new riders in to train. The move from the states to Ireland was the necessary change of direction she needed in her life, and she's finally starting to feel like an accomplished adult. Before she arrived at CBEC, the stable was being managed by her second-cousin, Clyde Kent.

At times, Katrina wishes she could be more independent from her family's legacy, but has nonetheless embraced her role as CBEC's new manager. She was close with her father while he was alive, and after his passing she's committed herself to keeping the stable alive in his memory. 

education .
Katrina graduated high school and spent a short time at her state university searching for a field to study. She returned home after hearing of her father's death, and has since put aside college to manage the stable he left behind in Ireland.

occupation .
She's the owner and manager of CBEC, in addition to a few miscellaneous side jobs she picks up from time to time. 

residence .
She lives on-site at CBEC, and stays in the main house on the property. Previously she lived on-campus in California.
