Benoit

Benoit is, or was, part of a group of demons that were working to help dispel misconceptions about their kind among the general populace as mythical beings began to mingle within the mortal plane. He was doing so by working with his longtime friend and mentor Ghislain, who headed said group. They were well-received for the most part, but there was a faction of angels that didn't much care for the shift in tone about demons...especially since this was leading people to see that not all angels were inclined to be good and pure, either. Anyhow, this involvement didn't earn Benoit many friends among the angelic community, and eventually someone was sent after his group. He was attacked after overhearing plans for an assault on his group, and fought tooth and nail to keep his life. He lost his wing and broke a horn in the scuffle, but he did a lot worse to the angel...when they crashed, he woke first. The angel was more banged up by far, so he treated him as well as he could, found a place to settle him, and was about to double check for any wounds he missed when the angel woke. It's not his proudest moment...but he panicked and took off, still needing to try to warn his group.

He was too late, however, and arrived to find all but Ghislain were dead...and Ghislain was missing. He's been forced to lay low, trying desperately to locate his fellow demon to rescue him from whatever fates this extremist group of angels had in store for him.

Benoit is a rather clumsy demon due to the fact that he's now missing a wing. When he has his wing out, he's completely off-kilter and is prone to tripping or stumbling easily. He's also become exceptionally flighty, very much like a skittish cat that's resistant to receiving help or affection, regardless of how desperately he wants/needs it. He is paranoid, borders on insomnia, and is hyperaware of that sensation of being watched.
