Kynthia
About
Kynthia is the 3rd princess of a neighboring kingdom. They weren't on bad terms with Balark's kingdom, but they weren't on good terms either. They decided to make an alliance to better strengthen their position and try to ensure peace for the next generation or two. Kynthia is straight forward and honest, but has compassion and empathy for the subjects of the kingdom.
When Kynthia first arrived she was rather intimidated by Balark, he had really been forced to get married because he was almost 30 with no wife, much less an heir. She felt she had been picked because of the proximity of her kingdom, so if there were visits they wouldn't be too troublesome. It seemed like Balark disliked trouble. Kynthia liked some aspects of how he ruled, he was fair, but he didn't seem to take into account outside circumstances. Kynthia knew she'd have to stand up to him and hope that, in the end, things would work out for the best. Which of course they did!

Balark Husband
Emotionally distant for most of his life, Balark thought he knew how he wanted his world to work until Kynthia came along. He liked things very black and white, no grey areas. Unfortunately, but necessarily, Kynthia showed him that wasn't always the case and brought him to see how he could become an even better ruler than he already was.
Soraya Daughter
Soraya has her mother's calm demeanor, she makes sure to think things through before she acts on them. She makes sure to consider the opinion of others but she's also confident in the decisions she makes. She looks up to both of her parents and tries to learn from the best parts of them, for she will rule the kingdom one day and wants to be as good as they are.
