Tep Skarabi

Tep is a fennec fox from the deserts of north-western Egypt. For most of her life, she lived fairly peacefully, travelling with her family to the delta and back over the course of the year. During her 23rd trip back from the delta, however, her family was whisked away by an unexpected surge of rift activity.

Tep is gifted with vague, prophetic visions; a hallmark of her family line. Her fleeting moments of insight often urge her to take unusual risks or avoid certain places, which is how she escaped being swept into another reality alongside the rest of her family.

Tep met Singe and Ngaigara Guyanderra shortly after her family's disappearance. With nowhere else to go, she took a resettlement offer, and later moved in with Singe to escape the overwhelming stimulation of city life. She's since gained an interest in human cuisine, as raising the genetically modified insects used as the main protein source is mucheasier than hunting for bugs in the dunes.
