• As a poltergeist, they create cold spots where ever they stand and move from bodies of water, either a puddle, a bucket of water, or the lake itself.
• Is a poltergeist first and foremost, but starts to take on the role of a hastrman that leads to roles of being a ferryman and vater to the lake creatures.
• Goes by Lesly by Barrett, while Uncle Lesly to the kids in Morcalhill forest which he "tolerates."
• He walks around at the bottom of Red Pond, tending to the fish and throwing out any harmful material dropped into the waters.
• Lestervan plays a button diatonic accordion when he tells stories for the kids of Morchallhill forest. 
• Has ptosis in his right eyelid. (drooping eyelid) He thought for a long time everyone else also had one.
• After drowning in a lake full of Lamprey, the fishy creatures began feasting on their corpse which led to some being buried within his skin. Ending in tieing his being to the lake itself. Always drawn back into its dark waters. 
• Lestervan suffers from acute PTSD after serving 9 months during The Great War. This is accompanied by anxiety and episodes of psychosis. He later deserted when on leave, taking little belongings and jumping ship to America. Was in constant fear of the German Militia finding him, forcing him to isolate himself further in the forest. Their mental condition affects him even in death, with drastic changes in his mood, whether isolating himself in the lake for weeks or their anger towards themselves can become redirected at others when pushed too far or reading something that triggers it. Which ends up with them apologizing after the outburst or sudden disappearance before they blow up, not wanting to hurt others. He does have help from Barrett to distinguish hallucinations. Auditory and olfactory are common. (i.e. smelling burnt hair or gunpowder when there is none,  hearing wind or muffled talking of his sisters within the room itself.)
• They were born in Hessen, Germany near the rural farmlands. His father was a German Trapper/fur seller, and his mother was a Ukrainian seamstress who would repair and tailor fur coats. Lesly speaks fluent German, intermediate Ukrainian, and fluent English. 
• Lestervan is an excellent writer but doesn't really use this skill in anything but documenting things. For how good his writing is, his handwriting on the other hand is atrocious. So they use a typewriter to make it legible. (They can write in German, Cyrillic, and English)
• Takes naps in the main library of Barrett's house and sleeps at the bottom of Red Pond. Being underwater is analogous to having a heavy blanket on top of him.
