Neris speculates often of what species her father could have been, as her mother never speaks of her journeys in the surface world. She doesn't mind very much, but she sometimes wonders what it would have been like with a father and brothers.

Her gold bands usually stay on during teaching hours, as not to distract her students. Otherwise, she finds them very restricting and refuses to wear them.

As much as she is eager to find her brothers, she is extremely squeamish when actually meeting men. She has gotten better interacting since deciding to stay on the surface land permanently.

Her sisters all do not share fathers as males are forbidden from entering their cave. Neris is certain she has brothers on the surface somewhere and hope to find them one day.
