Teacup is, well, a bird. He’s flighty, erratic, and incredibly impulsive. He LOVES shiny things, especially spoons. His coat is full of completely useless trinkets and baubles that he’s picked up or nicked during his travels. He startles easily, and is suspicious of almost everything. He tends to latch onto specific people, i.e. whoever looks the strongest and the least likely to eat him. He’s dangerously reckless, almost like he doesn’t ever think anything through ever. Which is most definitely the case. He knows he’s adorable, and he uses it to his advantage. His faith in the King in Linen is lacking for one of his occupation. This has led him to believing that he’s broken for his faithlessness. Teacup isn’t exactly the smartest bird in the coop, but he tries his best. He hates the undead and seeks to abolish its influences wherever they appear. He firmly believes in the natural order of things. There comes a point where the dead really should stay dead. 

BIO

Teacup’s flock have been tending the graves of Mournhold since the Plague that wiped out 2/3 of the population centuries ago. His life was spent in the cemetery, or the temple to the King in Linen that looms over the graveyard. Teacup inherited Aftersight, the ability to see and communicate with the dead, from his great-grandmother, allocating him to the prestigious role in the flock of Ghostwatcher. As a result of his ability, Teacup was taken in by the few clerics of his flock to become an acolyte of the King in Linen. He was given his lampstaff, the symbol of his station, once he had graduated the program and became a full cleric of the grave. He served the temple faithfully. However, as time progressed, he found himself doubting his faith. He realized that he hadn’t believed in the King in Linen as much as he thought he did. Believing himself to be broken, he left Mournhold on a pilgrimage, with the intention of rediscovering his lost faith, and hopefully doing some good in the world in the meantime. All of this has taken place over the course of six grand years.

• He holds a burning hatred for red berries. They have deceived him. And that is something he will never forgive.
• His Spirit Guardians take on the form of a pack of jackals; an animal commonly associated with his deity.
• Any lethal magic damage he does to somebody literally mummifies them.
• He will try to eat anything. 
• Likes being carried, especially on somebody’s shoulders.
• Tends to care just a little too much about people. 
• Typically dislikes undead. Except Chasm. Chasm can stay.
• Begrudgingly accepts the legality of Resurrectionistry.
• A big fan of hugs. 
• Being gifted a spoon is the highest honor Teacup can bestow.
• Scared of thunderstorms. 
• For better or for worse, he’s sorta acquired traits from both of his morally ambiguous adventure parents. 
• One of the only people unaffected by Merriweather’s curse.
• Has teeth on his tongue
• Hasn't felt or processed an emotion in a long time.
