Angel

Species

Angel is a rather standard persian, maybe a touch on the small side but otherwise lacking in distinguishing physical features. What sets her apart is her upbringing, as essentially a rich housepet she has always been showered in gifts and often wears jewelry to show off her status. Her favorite pieces to wear are a gold tail ring fitted with a large sapphire and one of her silver collars, either a simple chain or a more intricate fringed necklace interlaced with smaller rubies and sapphires.

Personality

Angel is very protective of those she cares about, in part due to her human's sickly childhood and later Ansley's difficulties, and will do anything to defend them despite her lack of fighting skills. She usually presents as soft and lazy, preferring to sun on the back balcony over participating in other things but she always keeps an ear out in case she's actually needed. She also gained some actual survival skill from her time traveling with Rover but still doesn't really like the wild and retains some dormant curiosity for the outside world, though it's unlikely she'll ever leave her family again.

History

Angel has always lived with the Minerva family in the mountains high above Kanto and loves them all deeply, though special attention is reserved for her own human Edna. When she first came across the wild absol she had no idea what to make of him, he contradicted everything she had come to expect and yet his wild nature was as alluring as it was bizarre. Eventually curiosity got the better of her and she temporarily abandoned her home to roam the wild with him. When she realized she was expecting though she returned to her humans, both to protect the child and because she had come to an understanding of what family was. Against his wishes or not her humans were her family and she couldn't bring herself to leave them completely. This disagreement divided the two lovers for a time and Angel initially raised the little one on her own but when Ansley's dark power got be too much Rover finally stepped up as a father, first sealing most of the power and later taking her with him to train. While Angel remained with her humans after everything she and Rover came to an understanding finally and stayed as mates, sneaking visits in the local wilds mostly but never straying far from home. There was some discussion of more children after Ansley but given the dangers around the first one they ultimately decided against putting any more little ones through those risks.
