Species

Kibou is...well he's a ghost aipom, at best a wandering spirit tethered still to this world because of unfinished business. Or maybe he just escaped the spirit world, honestly it's a little unclear why he's still around but he is definitely the ghost of a once living and much more normal aipom. Usually he appears as a surprisingly solid aipom with grey or silver fur and carries a simple brown satchel at his side but when stressed or trapped in an 'episode' his ghost nature becomes much more apparent. In such a state he loses his grip on both reality and his physical form, his 'body' slowly changing to a more startling white with flickers of transparency until he fades completely or his ghost power snaps to the forefront and lashes out.

Personality

Kibou's strangely cheerful given his condition and prefers playing or adventuring to any kind of real work. He has trouble getting serious and is often rebuked by his teammates for his childish demeanor, but when push comes to shove he does know how to get things done. He's always been an adventurous spirit even before he was...well a spirit, and it's likely that's what got him into danger in his past life. He also hates staying in one place for too long, preferring to keep on the move to explore new places, and has a strange fear of being underground.

History

Kibou has no memory of how he died and can only recall scattered fragments of his past life that he does his best to ignore. Honestly he's terrified that if he did remember he would be forced to move on and instead does everything in his power to avoid remembering. Sometimes things slip through though and usually when they do he has intense headaches that the others refer to as his 'episodes' and can last for hours on end. When he first met Jasper and Mayra he was worried they'd run but when that didn't happen the trio discovered they actually worked well together and established their 'Adventurers for Hire' group to explore and hunt for treasure, though they never did agree on a more proper name for the team.
