Species
Myth was once a normal mew but now her fur is a dark grey and her soft blue eyes are flecked with yellow. She has no visible scars despite her history and her shadowy aura is barely perceptible unless the 'beast' takes over. To reduce detection and hide her shadow state she usually takes on the appearance of a shiny ninetales as a tribute to the only friend she's ever had. As a ninetales her eyes remain blue and she wears a simple blue collar. When the beast is in control though she reverts to mew and her form becomes more jagged, sharper with fangs and claws that should only be seen on a predator, and the yellow glow of her eyes grows stronger until that's the only color there.
Personality
Myth is troubled and lonely, doing her best to avoid others for fear of what her powers might do. She doesn't want to be known and her habit of panicking when someone gets close only makes things worse. She has no control over the beast and between it and her cursed ability just being around her is dangerous in her opinion. That's not to say she doesn't quietly wish for an escape, for companionship that doesn't end in tragedy, but at this point that's nothing more than a distant fantasy unless someone comes along strong enough to stand against the beast.
History
At a young age Myth was captured by cruel humans and put through countless experiments, their last experiment being to fuse her with a dark spirit that forced her into a permanent partial shadow state. The spirit's power mixing with her own ultimately created the 'beast', a malevolent force that possessed her and obliterated her tormentors before finally leaving her utterly exhausted. When she came to after that first attack she was terrified of what she had done and quickly fled the now ruined lab. Her trouble didn't end there though, everywhere she went those around her fell into a deep tormented sleep and the few that dared to get close were met with the beast. After one tragedy too many she realized no one around her would ever be safe and fled again, this time deep underground where she hoped no one ever find her and there the rumors say she hibernates still in that deep forgotten place.
