Hornet is a Hivewing and Sandwing hybrid who lives near the Sandwing palace with his father. His mother isn't often home due to work but she makes an effort to visit at least every two months. His mother named him Hornet after the Hornet Hive, which her family came from.
Hornet is a feisty lad who's happy to poke at others and get them riled up. He has a bit of a habit of showing off and if someone challenges him to any sort of competition in a cocky manner he won't turn it down. He's secretly a huge romantic and is constantly on the lookout for "the one", though he'd refuse to admit it if you asked him.
He doesn't have fire but the barb on his tail contains the paralyzing nerve toxin that some Hivewings have. He's better at flying short distances than long ones and oftentimes just keeps his smaller wings closed because he's not as good as using them. His father taught him how to fly but since he's a Sandwing with two wings instead of four, it was a bit hard for both of them.
