Prince Polaris

Polaris was born into the thriving Kingdom of Second Heaven, located in the deeper expanses of space. He lived with his father and his six sisters, princesses Pleione, Maia, Merope, Electra, Cela, and Tauri. His mother had passed away after performing a Core Split to create her seventh child, Tauri. At a young age, he was assigned an animal--a bear cub named named Ursa Major--as was tradition with royalty in his kingdom.

Second Heaven had rising tensions with a rival kingdom, ruled by Prince Betelgeuse, who sought to find a suitable prince for his sister. After many failed peace talks, Polaris' father urged him to resign his position as diplomat and marry Betelgeuse’s sister in the hopes of easing the critically high tensions between the two kingdoms, and hopefully encourage an alliance. But Polaris felt uneasy about the arranged marriage and respectfully declined, much to his father's dismay.

Soon after, Betelgeuse waged a surprise attack against Second Heaven. The ambush ended in shattering the kingdom, killing the king and separating the seven siblings. Desperate and unable to locate his sisters, or his bear Ursa Major, Polaris fell to earth to seek asylum among humankind, burdened with a guilt heavier than the sun, the moon, and the stars among the skies.
