Riji is a lot to take in when you meet them. They’re loud, friendly, and want to know everything about you – do you want to go drinking with them? What are your dreams? They’ll forget most the details to be honest, but once they’re your friend there’s no shaking them.
As much as they love talking about wide-reaching dreams for the future, they’re directionless and flit between work here and there. They live in the moment and are open to new things… As long as it’s not too difficult.
Riji is impulsive and their rash nature can be to their detriment. They get in trouble with the law after a drunken fight with a monk, after which they are given a choice between paying a price or undergoing a quest for the local government. Having no money to speak of, the choice is clear. A blood mage fox performs magic to bind Riji to their quest. They’re not exactly thrilled with the prospect of a (difficult) quest to deliver some diplomatic gift, but their leaders wouldn’t deliberately put them in harm’s way, would they? (Hint; they would.)
Riji is not a particularly keen or good diplomat, and would rather be laying in the sun with a drink and relaxing. They're quick to make friends (or enemies) and are fiercely loyal to their pals. They travel with their childhood friend Eilin.
Riji is non-binary and uses they-them pronouns. They're also pansexual and polyamorous
