Alana

Born in the tropical Kiloude City, in Kalos, Alana gained her passion for Pokémon as a child. Her parents worked at the Battle Maison and taught her double- and triple- battles. Alana's first Pokémon was a Fletchling, called Mimolette. She caught this Pokémon almost by accident, it's that bird Pokémon would often fly through her window -Alana's bedroom was located on the top floor of her parents' house- she would always wake in time by listening to the birds' cries. She learned to recognise them by their cries. So, Alana asked her mom, Leila to "buy" her a Pokédex so she could also identify these bird Pokémon using it. Being a little child at the time, Alana thought that Pokédex was a thing you buy at Pokémarts. Instead, Leila told Alana she would go to a place called Lumiose City to get a Pokédex for her. Meanwhile, Alana was given a few Pokéballs to catch a Pokémon. She didn't know how to go about doing this and was a bit scared that the Pokémon wouldn't obey. One morning, Alana was awakaned by the song of birds. A little bird flew straight through her window, began to nibble at Alana's bedsheets and woke her up. Alana, being naturally attracted to birds, threw a Love Ball that her mom had baught her at the little bird for it to play with. Instead it flew into the Love Ball. This is how Alana caught her first Pokémon, Mimolette the Fletchling! Alana was surprised at first but her dad explained to her that Pokéballs are where you keep your Pokémon so they can be easily carried. She wanted to give a name to her Fletchling, and as she had been obsessed with the anime Galaxy Angel as of lately, she gave it the name Mimolette, being her fisrt "pet" -referencing Kahlua's pet kitty in Galaxy Angel-

When her mom returned, she was glad to see that Alana already had a Pokémon. She gave her the Pokédex and said she also had a surprise, another Pokémon from Lumiose City. It was a Fennekin! Alana got really hyper and excited over this and gave the Fennekin the name Kalea, meaning happiness in Hawaiian. Leila explained to Alana that as a trainer, she could travel around the region and catch a huge collection of Pokémon, as she traveled from city to city she would encounter the 8 gyms, and eventually the Pokémon League. Alana wasn't scared at all, in fact she loved the idea of going on an adventure with Pokémon. So she set out with Mimolette and Kalea, took a ship to Vaniville Town and began the journey. At Vaniville Town she was greeted by her good friend Bethany, who had also recently begun a journey with her Spritzee, Janire, that she was given by a kind Furisode Girl on a visit to Laverre City with her parents. They decided to be travelling campanions.
