Human self

Mithra isn't a resident of Jéruheim, the town where the main events of Le Club des Treize take place. Indeed, he only comes there with his mother to visit his family during holidays. He mostly hates it, as his true self is denied by all of his relatives. Similarly to Jesus, he was chosen by twelve of his friends to become the leader of a teenage alliance who fights against the injustices caused by adults: the Thirteen Crew.
There's a lot of things that Mithra likes: summer, freedom, recognition. There's also a lot of things that Mithra hates: his birthday, adults, dogs, snakes, scorpions, and his natural disposition to be jealous. He always has a sharp opinion on things.

Mithra is a idealistic and imaginative preteen, who can also be a bit shy around new people. While he tries to be genuinely friendly, he thinks of himself as a visionary with a lot of great ideas. Because of that, he has a big (and sometimes even destructive) desire for recognition. Mithra’s biggest fear is that people take too much inspiration from him and get more praise than him, which would lead him to being forgotten. He knows that it is a bad trait, and hates this part of him; he hides it and dismiss it when asked about it.
Overall, he is an extremely jealous person, and feels unlucky in life; he tends to compare himself to other people too much, which causes him big insecurities. Moreover, behind his soft appearance, he actually has an interest in more violent hobbies and ideals, which explain his place as a leader in the Thirteen Crew.

Mithra loves the Sun and sunflowers, as well as watching bullfighting on television. He dislikes sports, winter holidays (despite them being the time of his birthday), and being forced to wear dresses during family gatherings. Indeed, he has to live with his transphobic mother, Anahita, who forbids him to properly transition. Still, Mithra doesn't plan to change his name, so she "only" misgenders him and prevents him to dress how he wants to. Because of that, he doesn’t pass, and ressorts to the use of periphrasis to explain his situation when he meets new people.

Mithra met the members of the Thirteen Club at the Christmas Market of Jéruheim, during winter holidays. Their similar ideals provoked an instant alliance, but Mithra always fears that his own rebel group will soon become obsolete because of his new rivals.
If truth be told, Mithra secretly sees Jesus as way more likely to succeed than him, and for a lot of reasons. For starters, he is more confident (or so he thinks) and "doesn't look like a cow". He wants to like him. He really does. But he can't help but feel great sorrow in his heart every time he sees him accomplish something.

Mithra could be qualified as an average student. He has a slight preference for humanities, but overall, his grades are balanced. While he also enjoys sports and being active, P.E. is very anxiety-inducing for him, which has repercussions on his grades; otherwise, he could do much better.

Divine self

In Judecca, Mithra is the god of the Sun, retribution and destruction. His sacred animal is the bull. He is also the weakest of all the gods, he knows it, and he hates it. Like all the other humans deities, Mithra decided to become incarnate by choice, and thus forgot everything about who he really is.

Originally a joyful and lively god who loved to take care of humans, Mithra slowly became more bitter and jealous of the other deities when his cult fell into neglect. His jealousy is a trait he kept even in human form.
To avenge himself, Mithra decided to make the Sun expand and brighten, so that it could engulf the Earth that has forgotten him. Maybe. One day. It will take time. Only the Celestial Teapot, the deity of cessation of existence, does know how much.

Mithra also presides over the zodiac. It’s absolutely useless, but saying it makes him feel more important.
