Basics
Devi is an incredibly difficult boy to get along with, despite his inviting cat ears and small smile. He's naturally combative, and doesn't let others get too close to him. This is something he learned in his household, one where nobody liked one another and bickered for any small reason.
He's easily annoyed and quick to pass judgement. This isn't so much an act as much as it is a defense mechanism, something he spawned from protecting his heart while growing up in a rather hostile, loveless environment. Even to people he likes, he can keep this attitude up, effectively making him rather tsundere.
Devi is naturally tanned. His hair flips outward, and his bottoms are more akin to leggings. Devi is right handed.

Devi relies on his quick wit and ability to talk pretty to get through life once he runs away. He's not much in the way of fighting, and thus relies on his intelligence and speed to bypass danger.

About
Devi is born into the Novlyn family, a noble family with many children. It would seem the children and family as a whole were more of a front to show off their great wealth and importance, and behind closed doors, nobody seemed to like each other. Devi's elder brother, Isa, ended up running away in his teens and he always thought about it growing up in the home. Eventually, he decided that Isa had the right idea.
He never wanted to admit it to himself directly, but he always thought that since Isa ran away, that he clearly hated the way that family was run and maybe, just maybe, he thought a lot the way Devi did. There was a desire to find and connect to Isa; and eventually Devi finds Isa and settles in the town of Yoria.
Devi cannot get past their old ways though, and every time the brothers bump into each other, it turns into a shouting match with them storming off angry and hurt by their sharp tongues. As of now, Devi works in the bar, mostly outside to attract customers.
NOTABLE MOMENTS IN TIMELINE 1 & 2
Devi does not seem to play a major role in TL1 and TL2. He was dead at the end of both TL1 and TL2.
NOTABLE MOMENTS IN TIMELINE 3
Devi finds himself agreeing to climb the mountain to chase after the Noble Arcane, in a small group consisting of himself, William and Naru. On the way down, Naru takes a blow for Devi, mortally wounding him. He survives a few days before succumbing, which effects Devi in a deep way; especially knowing it should be himself buried in that little snow bank, all alone on that cold mountain.
Relationships
Isa Novlyn
[ brother ]
Isa is the only sibling which Devi thinks he has a chance to have any good relationship with; but it's tough when you grew up knowing we all hate each other. He originally intended to find Isa to try to make a positive connection, but the two are at each other's throats and say things to purposefully break the other's hearts. A tragic cycle, since both always regret going too far with the other. Eventually, they do sort of warm up to one another and sometimes let their guard down.
Naru Yamasaki [ classmate, friend?, love interest? ]
Naru, quite simply, is the one Devi is most likely to go absolutely crazy on. The two sit side by side in class, and constantly are at each other's throats. Naru seems to enjoy picking on the boy, pulling his tail or otherwise just causing a stir. Devi bites back though, and will swipe or yank his hair. Many feel that there's a little more to it though, especially on Naru's behalf... it's very well possible both have a bit of a crush, and either haven't realized it yet or don't want to admit it to themselves.
Chika Yamasaki [ classmate, friend ]
Chika is a shining beacon for the Yamasaki blacksmith family, in Devi's opinion. He notes her kind nature and gentle ways. While he can't say they're close friends, he enjoys talking with her and the times that they have to work together. He does notice that despite the fact they aren't the closest of friends, she goes out of her way to sometimes talk with him or otherwise do a positive interaction. He's unaware that it's because she's got a crush on him.
Cas Wight[ employer ]
Cas currently has Devi employed at the bar; and both know it's wrong considering his age. However, Devi needed to make money and happily accepted the job of standing outside and pulling customers in. He's thankful for it, and does enjoy listening to Cas talk about his old days; maybe it's because Cas was in a guild and that's exactly where he'll find Isa...
