Takashi was born into a pack with seven other Naru. One evening another pack came into their territory and tried to claim it for their own. His pack fought back, but in the middle of the fight Takashi was wounded and as the group kept fighting he was left behind. He wondered on his own trying to find them but couldn't get far because of his injuries. Eon alerted Jinjirou of him whilst they were searching for spirits in the forest, Jin took him back to his house to help tend to his wounds and they've been inseparable ever since.

Takashi's bells allow him to store moonlight essence inside of them. Moonlight is an essential element for werewolves and without it they become very weak and stuggle to survive. Takashi uses the essence during the day to keep his energy up but the essence is not as strong as real moonlight so he always feels better at night.
Takashi has many werewolf insticts, like protecting those he cares for, and even at night when he's exposed to real moonlight he can also use his moonlight essence as well to make him even more powerful. When he goes full 'wolf' the essence will leak out of him, usually out of any exposed/recent wounds and his fingertips. As the essence is combined partly with this DNA the essence can be quite harmful to many other Naru as they're not compatible with it. If Takashi finds a Naru who is compatible, he can use the essence to heal them if they've been weakened.

Takashi loves Jin with all of his heart. He is very grateful for everything Jin did for him when he found him and now tries to care for him as much as he can in return. Takashi is very protective of him and feels a strong bond.

Takashi admires Chiho's protective nature that's much like his own. He very quickly warmed to him because of this. They quickly became good friends and Takashi now considers Chiho his best friend.

Takashi wasn't sure about Shinju when he first met him. However, when Shinju opened up more to him and Takashi started seeing more of his true personality they quickly became very good friends.

When Jin first introduced Takashi to Kairi he found her a little overwhelming but later realised how important she was to Jin. He now finds her quite entertaining but still has moments of overwhelm.

Despite the old tales of cats and dogs not getting along, Takashi really enjoys hanging out with Nomu. As Nomu is a more reserved and quiet person Takashi never feels overwhelmed around him.
