Even with his heart locked up he holds a fondness for the bird. No matter what he's done she's always been by his side, even when everyone else couldn't. That deserves some respect, in his opinion. He makes sure to feed her her favorite foods whenever he's paid.
With his focus solely on slaying the gods and beings that controlled Fate, it was only a matter of time for the broken prince to run into Caelestis. He despises that calm, pleasant demeanor and considers it a form of taunting him. He'll chase Caelestis down and give him a taste of the cruelty gods like him love to bestow on others.
Caelestis is doomed. Questionably rocky as things started off, from full intent of murder, to crushed lemons and parking lot chases, he had instead managed to only fall even harder every step of the way. Though all this, in spite of the persistent, continuous nature of his pursuit, he never entirely accounted for the possibility of the feelings actually becoming requited, and so is in fact, a bit of a disaster in that regard. Somehow, he's simultaneously both his most shameless and most flustered self when around En. Flirting unabashedly at every opportunity—much to En's apparent irritation—yet utter putty at every returned advance. Heavens help him.
En was wary of Illanya at first, but all she'd ever done was try to help him. He reluctantly accepted it, and the two have stayed together ever since. He's curious about her-- her appearance, the power surrounding her, that armor, that axe-- but he believes she's been the target of cruel gods and Fate just as he had.
Illanya had met En by chance, assisting him in finding and eradicating a hideout of rogues. Though initially weary of him and Lan-Ran, she seems content to accompany him as an ally. A remnant of the life that had been torn from her, she will often find herself worrying over him and trying to assist him, whether such help is warranted, needed or even necessary. She has since agreed to assist him in his bid for revenge in the hopes they will find someone to revive her... If not? Well, she has her own plans for revenge anyways and has no qualms about including ignorant gods in the batch.

Isolde knew she should leave En alone, yet she couldn’t help but tail the ex-princeling out of… not affection nor concern, no; she wants none of the dark path that he had chosen to walk, at least that’s what she tells herself. Rather, her attempts to help En is less about him but more so to redeem herself - she failed him as a teacher once, then broke her promise to Allegro that she’ll guide the princeling even after the latter’s death. The least she could do now is to become the teacher that En needed from the very beginning, but it was already too late by the time she reached that realisation. The sweet little penguin she once taught is no more, the maiden forever haunted by memories of his death and her own guilt for not doing enough.
Back then En would have been overjoyed to spend time with Mine, but now? Now he knows Fate's tricks, and he knows if she stays around him she'll get struck down like all the others had. He's been cold, he's avoided reacting to her, yet somehow she still lingers around. He can't help but be frustrated, but he does appreciate the aid she's given him.
There's also something about her that she's hiding. Just what is it...?
"How can you just ignore someone when you see them hurting?" Four is always drawn to those in need of help, even when they don't want it. Something that has gotten her in trouble countless times. She sees his struggles and only wishes to help, even when he's aloof towards her. It doesn't hurt her feelings, Four never expects anything in return for her kindness.
