The younger of the two Wicker siblings. Engel, unlike his older brother, Evangelis, is sub-competent comparatively and has a hard time keeping up in many aspects. He is very intelligent and can come up with unique ideas on the fly, but that is about as far as his abilities take him; physically, he's weak, and although he seems to have developed some magic, he cannot use it well, if at all. He is also wracked with an unidentified illness, further exacerbating his frail stature. He idolizes his older brother, but on some level is jealous and bitter towards him, and hates his own over-reliance on Evangelis, sometimes causing bouts of stubborness and conflict. He tends to blend into the background and has become almost a secondary character in his own life.

Engel has been held in containment by the Holy Order of Gaelen for, as far as he's concerned, his entire lifetime - like Evangelis, he was told that he had committed a crime against the Order, and has since lived under their watch and put up with any of their demands. Although he hasn't participated in as many tests as Evangelis has, the effects on him have been detrimental so far, causing his health to deteriorate faster in recent years. Recently, Evangelis broke the two of them out of their confinement.
Now, the two siblings are on the run from the Order, attempting to reach the ocean so that they might flee to another country and secure their freedom. However, along the way, Evangelis and Engel help out those on the Order's bad side however they can, causing damage to their forces and helping the common people who need it.

- Engel can come off as snarky and cold, but he honestly wants to help people who are hurting.
