Lurid

Lurid is a slightly feral demon - it's not easy for him to communicate with others, outside of growls and some broken language (due to his very toothy mouth and beast like nature)- both demon and common tongue, but it's enough to get his point's across.

Lurid's origin is one shared by many demons in the kingdom of Ashra. His parents being killed by the demon slayers in the land, hoping to eradicate the evil demon scourge from the realm. It was one last attempt to save their child as the slayers closed in, that the mother fell atop Lurid, shielding him from the final blows and eyes of the executioners.

Lurid was alone, beneath the corpse of his parents for about a day, when he was discovered by a bandit by the name of Abbae, fleeing a nearby city with authorities hot on his heels. Abbae heard a cry from within the shadows of the trees while on the run. Hoping to lose his pursuers, Abbae follows the mysterious cries deeper into the woods.

It isn't long until the two meet. The sight of a bloody demons startles Abbae at first, who has never encountered a demon so up close before, albeit two dead ones. It is in these few moments that the bandit notices a small form underneath one of the demon's corpses.

Abbae decides to help the demon, naming him Lurid, as he is unable to abandon the little creature, regardless of it's demon form, as Abbae had been abandoned just recently by his fellow bandits while on a a failed raid (hence being chased by guards, alone in the woods).

Now, Abbae does not know much about demons. He knows they exist sporadically across the land. He knows there are slayers and hunters to keep the dangerous ones away from the human public and that each demon has the unique ability to wield powerful magic... also that they have deadly claws and a stupid amount of teeth in their mouth, as much was obvious by just looking at Lurid's creepy little face; but that was about the extent of his knowledge.

Lurid quickly grows fond of Abbae's presence. As a demon, he finds the weak aura of humans a pleasure to be around. Lurid grows up quickly under the bandit's care (and surprise) and eventually he is found out by the other bandits Abbae surrounds himself with.

Lurid takes it upon himself to ensure Abbae is treated well by the bandits who had previously been so nasty to him in the past. The mere presence of Lurid's intimidating feral form is enough to keep the other men from harming his human. They quickly change their tune and hail Abbae like some sort of celebrity, which Lurid does not protest to. Abbae deserves the world, and Lurid has made it his goal to ensure he gets everything he wants- regardless of who stands in their way...

He has far too many teeth/too big in his mouth

He is comfortable on all fours and has beast like lower legs/foot pads and some fur in patches of his body (not all over). He can walk on two legs as well, but is often a bit hunched over and awkward about it (with his arms in front of him hanging like trex arms :P)

Long and thin, unusually shaped tail, with little hoops going down it. His tail is really strong despite it's size. The two split ends of his tail can wrap around trees and he can hang from them like a possum.
