Phyton Clover's Links
How frustrating! I wasn't even involved in Clover any longer! I just wished to live alone, with my partner, in the hilltops! How inconvenient, being MURDERED!
I figured out what happened with Firset. Wasn't just gonna let the guy die peacefully after that. Hope Firset's ghost is restin' in peace.
Firset was an idea man. He could weave dreams and fantasies like no other, spend hours waxing poetic about wondrous future. But he lacked the drive and focus to see any of his goals through... and that is where I assisted. There was nothing more to our relationship or friendship.
...Even now, I can't stop thinking about him. Do you know what that can do to you? After millennia, mulling over motives, over intentions, over every conversation you had with a man you once trusted with your life? I trusted wrong. I trusted terribly. If I had seen that rot in Phyton's eyes from the start... I would have never left joined his sordid, blood-soaked cause.
The god of luck, our patron, Cleverly Clover. He was always skittish, but his blessings were strong and always honest. I kept a little idol of him in my bags when we went on raids and whatnot.
I dunno. You can call Phyton a lot of things. Evil, ambitious, heroic, intelligent. I think he was kinda all of them at once. He did a lot of good, y'know? If he didn't exist, Clover Colony wouldn't. But... he did bad things, too. I just wish we didn't try to rugsweep them.
Right, Phynor's successor. Supposedly godly of some sort. I'm going to call bullshit on that, pardon my words. He's an Immortal, granted, but so was I, and so was Phyton. It's not anything special; it's mere genetics. I pay attention to modern advancements!
Phyton... was long dead by the time I was born. Phynor had little that was kind to say about him, but the other ants practically worshipped the places Phyton had once stood. I wonder what I would've thought of him, had we ever met....
