A fierce warrior, deadly in combat but gentle in all other aspects of his life, Atiq remains steadfast in his belief of extending his hand before his sword. His love and mercy are a rebellion, a challenge to the world that tried so hard to beat him down, and failed.

In both forms Atiq is strong and solidly built, a little scruffy around the edges but ruggedly handsome. While he has earned many scars, only the four along his right shoulder and upper back as well as the ones on his face remain visible as both human and deer. In human guise he is covered in a tapestry of tattoos detailing events and accomplishments from his life.

Backstory✩✩✩

Transient but loyal to a fault, The Nomad has led a life fraught with hardship. Born to a Berber tribe right on the cusp of the fall of the Roman Empire, he was stolen by slavers at the age of 6 and sold at one of the Roman colonies. By 13, he managed to break from their hold, but not before being branded for crimes of thievery by Rome. Eventually Atiq was found by his surrogate father, Adair, who raised and trained him into a warrior. As an adult Atiq fell into possession of a very coveted artifact and dedicated his life to the prosperity and preservation of the world it belonged to, directly putting himself in the way of Roman conquest. He formed a coalition of both djinn and humans to aid him, the Hásura. Under Atiq’s guidance the invading Empire was kept at bay and the ancient secret he bound himself to remained safe from those who would exploit it. He took his place as the king of a vacant throne and kept Fate in a constant stalemate in the course it tried to make him take.

 A conflict soon arose from an ancient demon, Tephras, and in their struggle both were dragged into the Veil, a convoluted and fluctuating space between worlds. He emerged in a completely new time and place far removed from what he’d left, and who he’d left behind. His memories were all stolen, lost, scattered. With no sense of self and scars and symbols the only clues left to him, Atiq can only push forward.
