Iscelais (Isaias)

Many years ago in the city-state of Treveis, a pair of half-elven twins was born to the city's new governor. This was a bit of a mystery because the governor was human and unmarried, but presumably they came into being the normal way and so a mother must've been present at some point. Isaias, being a trusting and very sheltered child, was not particularly concerned with the mystery of his conception and instead spent his days training and studying, as instructed by his father. He had a charmed and happy childhood, up until one fateful day when a demon burst into the manor and burned it down, killing all his family and kidnapping his twin in the process. He was only survivor, and lost everything in a single night. Due to the tragedy of this event he swore to rescue his twin and take his revenge against the demon, and set out from the ruins of his home to achieve his goals.

Under the glare of an official investigation, the self-serving politics of the governance and the derision of the humans whom he had never had reason to think of as anything but equals, the sole survivor of that tragedy finds out . . .
