Golden Wind is the younger sister of Flurry Heart and she really feels it. She feels like she's always compared to her sister and is very bitter over being the only family member with no magic, everyone else being an alicorn or unicorn and even her extended family is the same. Golden feels like she has no place in the world or her family.

Before the training accident that took her wings Golden was a brilliant flier and a true natural; her flying far outclassed the adults in her life and when she got her cutie mark her parents were sure it meant she was destined to be one of the best fliers Equestria ever saw. The accident that happened almost killed her and completely destroyed all her hopes. Flying was the only thing she had that she was better than her sister at and now she had nothing, this caused her to spiral into a deep depression that she still hasn't shaken. 

She used to see her mark as her talent for flying but now sees it as a sign that she would lose her wings right from the start, the golden wings of her mark trailing loose feathers downward and that the silver crown represents her as always being second best to everyone else. Now Golden is a nihilist and struggles to function, constantly snapping at those around her and trying to bury her hatred of everyone around her.

Additional info

• Due to alicorns having the genetics of all 3 types of pony and her father being a unicorn, Golden is a pegasus with unicorn traits (her tail and hooves). She finds this insulting as she could have been a unicorn or alicorn instead of a flightless pegasus.
• Golden is very bitter and jealous of those with magic, to the point where she won't even speak to her own parents anymore despite their constant worry over her.
• Golden was born albino.
