Personality
A happy energetic girl, she is always trying to go out and greet new students. She tends to be more rational and encouraging to other students, helping them with their struggles, within reason. She mostly wants all people to get along, so often she will insert herself as a mediator to arguing students, even if it's not always helpful or wanted.
Though she's not afraid to get into arguements herself. Especially when she wants to defend those she cares about, and has been known to threaten people if they try to hurt someone she cares about. There's a lot about the world on land that she doesn't know, and tends to be fascinated by a lot of it, always wanting to learn more about it.
Design
Story
History
Erin used to live in a large group of mermaids within the Atlantic Ocean. But due to being hunted for their beautiful scales, the group of mermaids had to constantly keep moving. But at one point many mermaids got picked off or went off in smaller groups on their own. Erin has mostly only known traveling around the ocean, staying where was safe at the moment. She had never known a true home until she was fourteen.
Erin's parents decided that the safest thing for her was to live on the land instead of swimming around constantly. So they made magic shells for all three of them and moved onto land, where Erin lived for a year. During that time, she learned a bit about human world from that, though not nearly enough. But it was enough for Erin to learn about different technology, and for her parents to get jobs to provide for everyone.
At the School
Eventually Erin's parents found out about a school for monster students, one where humans have no access to, so they enrolled her there, to keep her safe to get a full education. After Erin went there, she met many people who quickly became her friends, though more importantly, she met Hayate. who she found herself getting even closer to than any of the other she had met at the school.
Nowadays, Erin seems pretty comfortable at the school. Even opting to stay there during summertime a lot. She is often seen being the one to show new students around the place, and helping them get settled into their new life at the school.

Almost every monster has their own unique abilites, and each one is unique to each species.
Magic Shell
Erin's parents used the innate mermaid magic to make Erin and themselves a shell, and this shell seems to hold some powerful magic inside it. Using it, Erin can transform her mermaid tail into some legs, so she has the ability to walk on land. She still prefers living in the water to swim, but realizes it's more practical to be on land.
Learned Magic Books
This is the magic that any student can learn, as they go through the school they can study different magic books that have special abilities on their own
Barrier Magic
As she had gone through School, Erin picked up a couple of magic skills. The first of which is barrier magic. With this magic, she can create...well barriers. These are basically physical objects made out of pure magic. They can be used as a platform for her to walk on, she can also block incoming attacks with it. She can even use it to create a bit of a floating bubble of water for her to swim around in, which pairs well with her water magic.
Water Magic
With Water magic, Erin can manipulate water in almost any way imaginable. She can freeze and boil water, and can move it around in various forms to her advantage. She can even make water bubbles to float around in. And she can shape ice into different shapes as she uses more concentration.e

Fantine is Erin's roommate that was assigned to her. While Erin is a little creeped out by Fantine's weird experimental taxidermy obsession, the two do get along pretty well, and Erin does like to get Fantine's opinion on different art pieces she's working on. Al
[ Best Friend ]
Al is Erin's best friend. The two met in the school during their freshman years. Despite Al's inability to go in water and Erin's love for water, they quickly became friends due to their cheerful and upbeat personalities. They do both care a ton for each other, and make each other work. (Character belongs to SunshineCo)
Hayate
[ Boyfriend ]
Due to him being Al's roommate, Erin got to see a lot of Hayate, especially when Al dragged him out to do things. So the two were able to get along and become friends. Soon after that though, Erin found herself developing feelings for him, after some time of him just being nice and caring to her. Though despite her dropping several hints, Hayate never noticed her feelings for him, until the day she confessed. But after that day the two did get together and are happy with each other.
