Hewie comes from an extensive line of ghosts, where he developed countless bad habits in order to stand out despite being a frightfully average child. Now a delinquent, card shark, and moonlighting as a monster hunter, he pranks and antagonizes everyone around him while staying relatively harmless to the general public. He is in the process of gathering a small entourage of equally troublesome people to hang around with and scoop up easy rewards for low-effort monster hunts.
