Bio
Childhood:
Was born in Northern England in a mining town. He was mostly happy and enjoyed spending time with his two older brothers and the other boys in the town. He attended the town school for a couple of years, although it was mostly geared toward training the children to work in the mines. His mother taught him how to read and write at home, determined to give him and his brothers a decent education.
As he grew he drifted apart from his brothers, and was never very close with his younger sister, so he began spending a lot of time at a local farm.
The farmer there was more than happy to indulge his interest in animals and farming, especially the horses, and he taught Alden a lot of horsemanship and how to use guns properly to go hunting for pheasants and rabbits.
As he grew into a young teen Alden found himself sweet on the farmer's son who was a similar age. They got along well and Alden thought he felt the same way he did.
During this time, his older brothers had begun working in the mine as was expected of them and to deal with it they both turned to drink, spending a lot of time fighting with each other and the other boys new to the mine. Their father would often react aggressively to their behaviour, especially when they began being verbally abusive to their mother and sister, and he would often vent his frustration with them onto Alden, telling him he had better not turn out the same when he starts work in the mine.
His father took him into the mine a couple of times to get him used to it and show him what he would be doing when he started work, and Alden hated everything about it.
He hated being underground, he hated the dangerous working environment, he hated the choking atmosphere, he hated the long hours and he hated not being able to see the sky and the trees and the fields.
Alden began running off to spend more time at the farm, which caused more violent arguments and fights with his brothers and their friends from the mine.
He found no support from his parents, his father expected him to work in the mine as his father had done and his father before him, and his mother expected him to do as he was told and waved off his feelings as being difficult.
Their father took ill, catching a nasty infection in his lungs from years of mining work, and eventually dying due to complications arising from it. Alden got angry, frustrated that the mines had killed their father and his family still insisted that he go to work there. After a particularly nasty fight with his brothers and being told off by his mother for it yet again he packed a few things into his backpack and ran off to the farm, intending to ask the farmer's son to run away with him.
It didn't work out, the farmer's boy was angry at Alden for suggesting he wasn't straight, so Alden ran off on his own.
He ran far to the West of England and ended up sneaking onto a cruise-liner bound for America masquerading as a staff member.

Young Adult to Adult:
He was caught on the ship, unsurprisingly, but he was slippery and managed to escape before they could send him back home. He wandered for a long time, unsure where to go or what to do, before he was taken in by a rancher as a ranch-hand. His skills with hunting and horses proved useful, he didn't earn much money but he was given a roof over his head and hot meals so he was happy enough.
The rancher had an adult son who was set to take over the ranch from his father, and he talked his father into buying a fancy Arabian with the intention of starting a high-end breeding ranch, but the horse was spooky and difficult to handle and the son had no experience with horses. The rancher himself was too old to deal with a flighty horse that was unpredictable, so Alden ended up working with her.
He very much loved Bacardi, the Arabian, and the two of them built a strong relationship. Alden would have been happy enough staying there, but the rancher ended up deciding to sell the ranch after a disagreement with his son, so he gave Bacardi to Alden along with a bit of cash and some supplies and told him to get on and find his own way.

He found himself once again travelling with no purpose, taking random jobs here and there on ranches and from traders looking for escorts on deliveries. He made friends with the owners of a stables, who let him stable Bacardi when she needed it. After speaking with them he decided to take up hunting to sell the things he catches, and used what money he had left to buy a new horse to join Bacardi as she wasn't the best horse for carrying heavy pelts, so he bought Ghost the Kladruber.
Things weren't too bad, he was getting by, although he got into plenty of street fights. Sometimes due to him being unable to let it go when he saw someone being picked on and other times because someone found out he was gay. One of those fights ended with him being attacked with a broken bottle which resulted in the scars on his face.

He'd spoken with Iona Kerr a few times as a drinking buddy when he took a break at an inn, and after getting into yet another street fight with a patron who insisted on harassing one of the other female patrons she introduced him to Colt Valdez and the Scarlett Colts.

Current:
Colt invited him to join he and Iona in their group, who went by the name Scarlett Colts. They introduced him to bounty hunting for money and trading with their camp, which ended up being decent money. They also introduced him to finding collectibles to sell to Madam Nazar, which he was surprisingly good at.
His skills as a tracker and hunter came in very useful, and not long after joining them he bought Solar the Breton as another horse to use for bounty hunting and trading to give Ghost a break.
He greatly enjoys his life with the gang, finding a kind of family with them, and finally he feels happy.
