Relic

Relic was born into a cult that used all children born during the winter to chain down otherworldly magics. This was done by forcing said children to serve as mortal hosts for the magics. She, alongside the others birthed for that purpose, share the same name, as they are no more that a vessel to the cult, a way to control magic.

The magic that was forced into her specifically is one that involuntarily allows her to take part in the nightmares of other people. Every night, she partakes in one of someone sleeping near her, and if she isn't, she spend her time in a purgatory-like place. Even when she sleeps, her mind is every-awake. She hasn't experienced sleep since she absorbed the magic of nightmare-eating, and doesn't seem to need it to survive.
