Background: The only child of a couple who married young. Their seemingly domestic lifestyle belied the fact that the two were deeply dissatisfied by each other. As her parents’ relationship continued to deteriorate, divorce became an ever-looming threat to Rinne who desperately wanted to keep her parents together. In order to protect the stability of her family Rinne became a magical girl with the wish to save her parents’ marriage.
Magic: Due to the nature of her wish Rinne's magic is tied to unity and relationships. She can create rings to capture enemies or link them up to form chains for increased mobility. Her main magic is creating white flower petals in her basket, and scattering them to enchant a witch's familiar to her side for a period of time.
Symbolism: Her main colour is off white. Associated with doves. Her flail is a play on describing an unsatisfactory spouse as "the old ball and chain." The shape of a basket evokes the form of a cage. Rings stand for unity/matrimony but also being restrained/captive.
